Normally I would go with carrier insurance but I’ve been screwed over with them before so I chose AppleCare+ with this iPhone and now I’m having to use it for the first time to get a replacement so can I use my AppleCare+ to receive a replacement iPhone that is unlocked (SIM-FREE) so I can use it without issues? I see the Apple Store sells only models from the 4 major carriers but as I’m on a prepaid carrier do they have models in stock for my specific carrier or am I just given a sim free model and I just put in the SIM from my damaged iPhone into the new one?
