A couple of days ago, I ruined my old macbook pro by spilling vitamin water all over it. I just got a new macbook today, and I was wondering, is it possible for me to transfer the extended applecare warrenty from my old macbook pro to my new one?

As far as I understand, Applecare stays with the machine. You can transfer OWNERS and keep the same Applecare, but it is tied to the machine.

Yes you can. Call AppleCare and ask them to transfer over the AppleCare from your old machine to the new one. Depending on how much AppleCare is left on the old machine, you might want to get a refund on whatever time is left and then purchase a new AppleCare agreement on the new machine.

this seems very plausible, give them a call

^ 2nd that. You can either get a prorated refund or transfer depending on how much time you have left on the original. If it is less than one year then prorate, more than a year left then the decision is harder because you may not get the whole 3 years.
