I got around to buying AppleCare+ for my new MacBook Pro today. I prefer AppleCare+ because it gives an annual option, and the annual option gives a discount which effectively makes 2 months free. I chose that option when I bought the Studio too. It seems like the only advantage of AppleCare One is that it covers theft and loss.

To anyone who has AppleCare One, why did you choose it instead of AppleCare+?

Because it can be significantly cheaper to do so than doing annual AppleCare+ per each device.

For example - I have two MacBooks (one for work - I get reimbursed), an iPhone, and an iPad Pro 11'.

AppleCare One is $20/mo or $240/year.
AppleCare+ for my 16' MBP is $149.99/year. My work MacBook Air is $69.99/year. My iPhone is $139.99/year. That is $149.99+$69.99+$139.99=$359.97

That's $359.97-$240=$119.97 a year savings with AppleCare One.

I added my M5 iPad Pro because for AppleCare One to add a device is $5.99/mo ($71.88/year) also costs less than AppleCare+ for 1 year at $99.99.

Check out plans (scroll down on https://www.apple.com/applecare/ to see device plans).
