AppleCare+ With Or Without Theft And Loss? Apple Watch

I am torn and would appreciate anyone's input.

I got my wife an Apple Watch Series 11 Rose Gold non cellular for our anniversary coming up next week from Best Buy. My thought pattern is always when I give something to give at 100% and we both believe in AppleCare, so I am going to add that to the Watch. But I did notice a couple of things.

First, she does not have AppleCare One, she just has normal AppleCare+ on her iPhone and Macbook Neo, she does not like monthly bills and just prefers going all out at the start.

Best Buy seems to be offering better prices than one on plan it shows compared to Apple, They are giving the option of AppleCare+ for 2 years for $79 and AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss for $99 for 2 years.

Apple on their website is showing only a yearly option with Theft And Loss for $49.99 a year, so only like $1 more than Best Buy when I multiply it by two and no option for the regular type.

So I guess my question is, does anyone think its worth paying the extra $20 for the Theft And Loss option included? She has never seemed to loose anything nor have anything stolen...but then I wonder if its worth it in the long run, if I am doing my math right, not including taxes, then its like $0.83 more a month over the 24 months.

No, but the band could snap, and gravity takes over. The watch falls off your wrist, bounces against your leg, and then drops down into the small pile of sticks you just jumped over. You notice something hit your leg, but you don't see the watch, just the tail of the small dog who is also jumping over the pile of sticks. You assume it was the dog's tail, and continue walking. Meanwhile, the dog did see the watch, and picked it up with his teeth, and continues running back to his owner. However, this being the woods, the dog spots a rabbit and chases after it. With the thrill of the chase, the dogs head is shaking back and forth, and, forgetting about his newly found watch, it flies off to the right, and drops down into a small hole where a tree had recently fell next to a creek. This is when a colony of beavers starts building a dam using the fallen tree as a base, burying the watch under 3 feet of mud. Find-my is unable to penetrate the minerals in the mud, which is now being mined and collected for skin care products. The watch is picked up with the collection of mud, until it's finally filtered out and ends up in a land-fill somewhere outside of Duluth.

Thank goodness for loss protection!

I pay every month for the Apple Care One, like $20 includes the iPad 13" Pro M5, iPhone 17 PM, and the Ultra 2, includes all apple care plus theft and loss (and the iPad keyboard and pencil)... probably its a lot, but for the rising prices of the iPad Pro 13' I think it's the best deal, just for the broken screen of any of those 3 devices...

I would get the theft and loss just because you could accidentally leave it at a hotel or somewhere and lose it. Never happened to me but I have the 11 Series Gold SS watch and it was pretty expensive. I would hate to have to pay full price for another one when it could’ve been avoided, had I just got AppleCare w/loss+theft.
