There is another change coming to AppleCare+ beyond the all-new AppleCare One bundle plan.

As noted by 9to5Mac's Zac Hall, AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss plans will be available for the iPad and Apple Watch starting this Thursday, July 24. These plans are available individually, with no AppleCare One coverage required.

As the name of the plan implies, AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss includes coverage for up to two incidents of theft or loss in a one-year period, in addition to unlimited repairs for accidental damage. In the U.S., the plan starts at $4.99 per month or $49.99 per year for the iPad, and at $2.99 per month or $29.99 per year for the Apple Watch.

AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss was previously limited to the iPhone, with only regular AppleCare+ for repairs offered for the iPad and Apple Watch until now.

AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss is still not available for other devices, such as the Mac, Apple TV, HomePod, AirPods, and Apple Vision Pro.

If you do prefer AppleCare One, theft and loss coverage does apply to any devices that you add to that plan, including the iPad and Apple Watch.

More details are available on the AppleCare website.

Compare Apple coverage with what you would pay & get scheduling the device under a Personal Articles policy, except the iPhone which insurance companies typically don’t cover.

This will be perfect for when they finally implement the rumored new magnetic strap connector as that will only result in many new watches getting snatched. Good luck out there

US might need it more - Among the highest crime rate in the world.

Personally I have signed up for Apple Care+ only with new Mac's, and only for the convenience.
The only time I had help of it was when Apple’s delivery went somewhere else with my ASD.
So I called Apple and they found the lost driver and corrected him to the right place 😂

I demanded to get connected higher level from start to a woman, high enough in their food-chain I talked to, fixed the problem fast.
Doubt that would’ve happened without AC+
Never ever have I myself caused any damage to any of my Apple-devices.

I like to have AC+ in the beginning after the more expensive purchase - it feels good with a new expensive products..
Phones and iPad’s, absolutely no AC+

So my general experience now re AC+ subscription today is: NO
My own home-insurance will cover most things. - and Apple devices are only worth something in the beginning. They loose value pretty quickly.

What's the price for the iPhone? Wouldn't mind a reminder since we're on the topic.

I have AppleCare+ on every product I can get it on. Going to be interesting how this gets integrated.

My iPhone is about to lose AppleCare+ as it's almost 2 years old - so I wouldn't mind hopping on this for that alone.
