    imac is one month over the one year purchase date, can i still purchase apple care or anything of that sort?

    No, you have to purchase and register within 1 year of the Mac's purchase.

    OP, I'm sorry, but you're out of luck. You have up to a year to purchase applecare. After that its too late.

    While you might have been able to ask for an exception a few days after the warranty expiration (as someone in another thread did), I'd be amazed if they extended that courtesy to a full month.
