I've been messing around with AppleMailServer for the last 6 months.
Its a piece of crap.

What im looking for is an alternative thats cheap, effective... and allows me to delete outgoing mail before it has gone (due to the fact that we transfer HUGE files and occasionally we need to stop them but cannot = wasted bandwidth).

I havent really had a look at sendmail... i really want something simple that anyone can use. including people around the office.

also... it there some sort of network monitor for OS X, like bandwidth monitoring?

thanks

hahahaha, if you can't get the AppleMailServer to work, then have fun with sendmail. Have you ever heard of vi? Good luck.

In all reality, just learn the program and get more specific questions. Most likly, unless your uning exchange (which is easy to administer, but doesn't really work) then your stuck using command line interfaces.

you misunderstand. AppleMailServer does work. but i cant do the things i want to do with it. Like view mail that is queued and remove it.

also id like to be able to view mail that has not been sent yet. The mail server Status window is the closest thing that comes to viewing mail... and it only gives me numbers. useless. the whole thing is useless.
