As previously said there aint much more that can be done with the design - there is a limit - this wheel is round.

Please tell me how the smartphone can be improved looks wise in the next five years?

ps
not convinced with 3D or headsets

Are you suggesting that anyone who dares to have a difference of opinion to your good self is insane?
That's quite rude if you don't mind me saying sir..

Enjoy.the rest of your day.

What would be rude is to say that I think they're insane to their face. I would never tell someone such a thing. My opinion is yes, they are insane for liking such a feature. Just like I think people that watch 120hz LCD monitors are insane when they tell me "how real everything looks".

I guess that takes you out of the Apple line-up - so what's your next android phone?

Ill be getting an iPhone 7, then 7s or whatever they call it. They won't have curved screens. What phone will you be....oh wait I don't care what phone you buy.

That is not the Note 5, it was the Note Edge launched at the same time as the Note 4 in November 2014.

.

good catch. Got myself all confused with the numbering. I couldn't remember what generation they did that on, just that it was 2 generations ago. so, 7-2=5.. completely derping on the fact that they skipped the Note 6

SWJ is a "Social Justice Warrior". Thanks for asking for clarification. The term racism or racist itself has lost its power due to people throwing it around wildly, inaccurately and inappropriately and also as a way to stop free speech. Treating people differently solely because of race I personally find to be reprehensible.

If you haven't seen anyone scoff at the term in real life yet, you will shortly.

In some country's it's means more then ever before, in others it's diluted. That's how I see it. But race is more then colour. And it's incredibly narrow minded to slander a race of people based on an Apple rumour website!
Stick to complaining about Samsung, no need to make up things about a countries education system!

Haha yes, no idea why they've skipped number 6, is it unlucky?
All I know is I'll never buy a 5.8" screen device, I tried the Note 5 and it was just too big, a really nice device though, but I returned it for my iPhone 6S. So I know for now big screen phones are not for me.

I think it was Samsung's atttempt to bring the note and Galaxy series in line. it's confusing in the market to have the S7 the current flagship, and then have the Note 6 release afterwards.

this way, it keeps everything tightly knit. the Note 7 is the big sister of the S7 and keeps in the same generation.

iPhone 6 have already reached it's very peak in the phone industry, there's basically nothing much you can add to a mobile phone.

What's worse that this opinion is that someone has liked it lol.

Where to start, so what you are saying is that the ip6 is the pinnacle of mobile phone tech and can't be bettered..

I respect your right to have this opinion my friend, but I suspect you may be alone (bar 1 like)

Enjoy the rest of your day.

That's awful

Yeah hopefully the rumor isn't true. I don't see anything logical or good about that unless Apple's implementation does something useful. Even then, I don't see the need for yet another line of iPhone. If it fundamentally improves the UX then it should be a standard feature across both models.

This rumor perfectly sums up all of Apple's problems:
1. lack of focus
2. snail's pace adoption of better designs/components or even incremental refreshes.
3. excessive stratification of models.
4. Product pricing that nickels and dimes consumers.

None of this will make me leave the Apple ecosystem but I have absolutely no enthusiasm for their offerings. My iPhone 6 may be my phone for the next 2 years now. I am hopeful that a new MacBook Pro or iMac model will be available soon that makes the long wait for a meaningful update worthwhile.

It was only "magical" when Steve was doing the announcements. Tim's go to words are "amazing", "great", and coming in at #1.... "incredible".

You need to get the Tim Cook edition of Apple Keynote Bingo. ;)
Haha, sorry. :)
I don't watch Tim's announcements anymore.
They have the same effect on me as 30 mg of Temazepam. Zzzzzzzz.

The "slander" was based on culture not race. The term culture was even used. The comment was pointed at South Korean culture. Can't you see the distinction? (I didn't make the original comment btw). Case in point Jeff Foxworthy makes a career joking about rednecks. That is a culture he is making fun of, he isn't making racist remarks at all. Now if his jokes were about "White People", that would fit the term racist.

So while I understand what you are saying and agree with the spirit of your comment, it doesn't really address the misuse of the term and you will indeed see many people scoff at the label, especially when it is used to stifle their free speech.

Apple, yesterday’s technology tomorrow - but in a new shiny wrapper. We pay cut rate, and you pay premium.

5 years after his death, Steve Jobs continues to roll in his grave. More copying Samsung, more iteration, less innovation. What happened Apple...

Apple wouldn't be producing the phone if they didn't foresee a demand for it... Not sure why people here are crapping all over it. Just because you don't want it doesn't mean other people aren't interested.

Yes, because when Jobs came back and axed 70% of the product line, what he really envisioned was adding that 70% back and overwhelming consumers with choice by the year 2017.

Seriously... Curved screen. You Gotta be kidding me.. Apple cant be that stupid.

If this happens I'll be convinced that Apple has lost its competitive advantage. Blatantly copying a competitor's strategy in the name of a higher ASP.
