Does your country have 9 million people with the purchasing power of the residents of New York City? Probably not. Nothing against your country...So much money in NYC.

No. We are small. Thats why we don’t get Apple Pay, sports in TV app, News app and a few other things.

Would be nice with one Apple store i Oslo though. We have all other big brands I think.

And the transportation will get even worse with the L shut down. :( This was a smart spot for a store. The area is becoming rather upscale quickly.

And prior to this move to be more upscale, that area has done tons and tons of business for decades. The Fulton Mall has been a cash cow for store owners for a long time.

Actually...it doesn't look all that bad after all. I'm going to walk back my criticism here.

They should be covering California, their home state and not some hell hole in NYC.

That's rich coming from someone supposedly posting from San Francisco, which has bad neighborhoods that would scare the average New Yorker out of their shoes. As someone who's lived in both cities for long periods of time, I have always felt far safer in NYC.

Anyway, whatever. We ended up going to this Apple Store location last weekend. It is a pretty good location, right next door to Atlantic Terminal and all the public transport serving the area. People from all over Brooklyn should be able to get there pretty easily, much more so than the Williamsburg location.

The floor plan is pretty small, so the place was jammed cheek to jowl with customers all through the afternoon and early evening.

As for loss prevention: the only entry and exit is through the "point" at the front of the building, so that pinch point for foot traffic looks pretty manageable for security personnel.

I love that people still think NYC is just like it was in the 70s and 80s. I hate to break it to you but there isn't massive crime and murder all over the place and Brooklyn isn't a war zone.
Brooklyn, and greater New York City in general, is a delightful place. Everyone should move here!
