Apple's Annual Back to School Promotion Expected to Begin This Week Following New Macs

Peak capitalism at work. School's not even out here and they are already pushing back to school promos. Just like Christmas in september...

Apple should plan their promos based on your location, wherever that is. Nevermind that the schools in my area let out 2 weeks ago and summer classes started today, or that classes at schools in the next district will end this week.

The school year hasn’t even ended yet! It’s a little early for “back to school” sales.

Maybe not for you, but it has for others. Summer classes at a well known University even started last month.

yeah, seems like back to school gift cards are showing up, but only for some products. Dont see it for mac studio =(

The last thing any school district, college, university, library or place of business wants is a desktop computer that uses more electricity and power outlets than a stand-alone device such as the iMac provides. Time for Tim Cook and team to finally address their forestalling of Apple Silicon XDR iMacs, I'll be looking forward to a new 28" and 32" XDR models in time for next semester!

Goggles. For what exactly?

Apple used to have a sense as to what people really want. They respected teachers. And they respected artists. Feet on the street artists. A 5k monitor at $1500. ? Even the new Mac mini's are catering to 6k content workers. Not exactly feet on the street AV artists. Making Final Cut and Logic go on an iPad? I'm not impressed. It's ok, but if I'm tracking, I'm using a 16" MacBook Pro, 16 channel digital mixer and an external monitor. A 27" or 32" iMac would absolutely kill it. I bet you dollars to donuts they have dozens of warehouses full of those 5k monitors no one wants; and a decent crowd-pleasing iMac would cannibilize what few sales of the 5k monitors they get. Just imagine ... a 4k monitor at say $900.

An M2 iMac 27" with 4 Tbolt, HDMI for a second monitor and an SDX card reader would sell so many, they'd afford to say goodbye to Xi and come back to Silicon Valley. And whats this I hear they throttled back the speed of the new internal SSD's?

Apple always seems to find a way to disappoint. Despite their impressive, noteworthy advancements.
