Its completely unfair, I want to buy one but I have no idea as to when apple will sell it in other countries. :(

Carriers vs. Apple

Is there an advantage to ordering from the Apple store? My carrier is Verizon. I believe I pre-ordered through Verizon when I ordered my 4S, but I'm worried about availability. Will likely be ordering to 64GB versions. Thanks!

So. Excited. So this means the iPhone 5s will be for sale in two hours time on the Australian Apple Store. I'll go back to sleep now and set my alarm to wake me just in time. Just hoping I haven't miscalculated haha!

Ok..wake up! 15 min to go but I think I'm going to store this morning so hopefully at 8.30 I put my dirty hands on it!!! Yewwww

Does anyone know if you can buy online and pick up in a store tomorrow like with their other products?

Yeah I wonder if this will make things go smoother in all countries with the scaled roll out.

I hope it does. Don't really want to spend 30 minutes refreshing the page because the server isn't responding. Which does make me think... how is Apple splitting the servers? I mean, how are each country's stores grouped? Asia on one or two? N. America on one or two? etc?

Think they will allow online reservation?
Not until demand has tamped down . You either stand in line or order online (and wait).
I work and can't wait in line, so I'll be ordering online and waiting. :-(

Excited and counting the hours until 12:01!

There is something wrong.
Some countries have nothing to do with the first wave. Like New Zealand.

late in Hong Kong too... that is if I am correct on the time they'll do it here. I've heard 2 different times. One from here and one from a newspaper here which doesn't exactly have the best track record. For all I know they are opening it in HK later

It came up in HK at 12.08am and immediately had units shipping in October. This is probably because all those people who really wanted a 5S probably reserved it earlier this week for in-store pickup tomorrow.

The 5C however is showing 1-3 days so demand for it is obviously not great.

That's allot of countries... Any takes as to why Australia ;) has always been on the list first?

Yeah... I was shocked to see that, but am happy I got it ordered. Was scared for a moment when my credit card kept getting bounced back until I realized I mistyped the security code :p

Oh well... I guess October is better than braving the crowds and everyone else in a few hours. I will be sleeping easy... then waking up to be impatient wondering if it is October yet

People's ability to make utter fools of themselves online with the biggest information finding tool on the planet at their fingertips never ceases to astound me.

That is the link that you should have used. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asia or maybe this one http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Continents.

While Australia and Asia are in the same timezones (hence the same start time). Australia is of course a continent of its own and not part of Asia although of course closely related in many affairs due to the geographic closeness alone.

Hm...you are referring to Asia-Pacific, which is a region consisting of 2 parts, Asia, and the Pacific, hence the hyphen in between.

The first sentence of the following article reads:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asia

Asia (Listeni/ˈeɪʒə/ or /ˈeɪʃə/) is the world's largest and most populous continent, located primarily in the eastern and northern hemispheres.

And by continents, read the following.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Continent

Based on that, Australia does not belong in Asia no matter how many continent system you use.

Thanks, fool that called others fool.

Whoops, you beat me to it.
