I'm in the process of being hired by apple and I was wondering when they do the background check. I was already offered the job, so does that mean they already did it? Do they do it after they offer the job? I'm so confused...
Any of the company who offers job to anybody, at very first they are being checked the background of that candidate so don't worry about that what will happen next becasue your background had been already checked by the company before they offer you a job. So if any of the delay in confirming the mail regarding you joining then there may be some other reason for that.

Background check

Hey, I am in the beginning process of interviews with Apple. I am currently going through court and I have numerous cases all erroneous and misconceptions of the situation and two are in retaliation. Despite having to go through this I still know I am a great fit for apple, how does this hurt me and how can I better my chances?

So those two bank robberies and the manslaughter charge were "erroneous and misconceptions??

Sorry, couldn't resist.

I'm just guessing, but my assumption would be that if there are criminal charges, that might not be too good. If they are civil cases, it might be less deleterious.

Perhaps one of our lawyers here might be able to give you a more definitive answer.

So you have cases that are erroneous on your record and have done nothing to have them removed? If you were tried and convicted then perhaps the erroneous and misconception labels you've placed on these cases are merely your opinion. Unfortunately, it doesn't get them off your record. The other two seem to be cases you agree with but your defense is that they were in retaliation. It sounds like you may have dabbled a bit in assault. I'm not sure I'd hire someone who has a history of retaliation to the point where he or she had a record because of it. Hopefully you disclosed all of these and the best you can do is hope they don't care.

Worried about a discrepancy

My company recently sent a memo that our job titles were changing, the problem is the new job title was not reflected in the verification process. The difference is not something that can be construed as an inflation of the job title. Say the difference between a Customer Service Representative and Customer Support Specialist. Basically the same thing with a fancy name.

How worried should I be about this discrepancy when the job descriptions and salary are dead on?

Figured I would post it here since this thread was here. Any HR peeps around???

The funny thing is that, looking at the email signature lines here at work, I hope no one else is applying for this job or we will all be red flagged.
