Apple's impressive Passeig de Gràcia store in the heart of Barcelona, Spain will be temporarily closed for unspecified improvements starting Saturday, February 14 at 8 p.m. local time, according to the store's official page.

The extent of renovations that will be completed remains to be seen, and Apple has not indicated when the store will reopen to the public.

Apple Passeig de Gràcia first opened in 2012, and it is one of the company's flagship retail locations. The store is on one of the most popular avenues in Barcelona, inside a historic former bank building with a stunning stone facade.

Apple has another store in Barcelona at the Westfield La Maquinista shopping mall.

Thanks, Filip Chudzinski!

That's where the vast majority of their revenue comes from, so that is what I would expect of a retail store.

From what you said, it does sound like they had desktops on display, just not on the ground floor. So all's well.

I was there in October - my wife forgot her AirPods *and* EarPods for a trip. Fortunately the store was only about 2 blocks from our hotel, so it was an easy walk. Beautiful store, although the steps up to the main floor probably wouldn't be considered ADA compliant (yes, I know it's Spain, not the US). I don't know if there was a lift - I didn't look since I was in something of a hurry. Oh yes, the store was out of AirPods, so my wife had to do with EarPods.

One of their most beautiful stores and best locations in the world, frankly.
Great memories of picking up AP3s for a three-week visit in the city. 🇪🇸
Can't wait to see what's next for them!

Nah, I think the upper floor was just for service. Also, keep in mind that the Amsterdam Apple Store features the entire collection -- including desktops.

I wonder if this is where Messi picked up the 24K gold iPhone 14 Pros he ordered for all his Argentina World Cup teammates in 2022. But I think he left Barça in 2021 already …

Good to know about this. Not expecting the store to be closed for extended periods. It is a very nice store.
