Monument Valley is spot on. Fargo? Not my cup of tea. True Detective and The Honorable Woman would have been much better choices, i believe.

Pixelmator is a great app, they've done a lot of work at improving it, and bringing it to iOS

That's weird. On my iPhone the app store tells me that "Replay Video Editor" and "Threes!" are the app & GOTY.

What about Mac App Store too?

What about Mac App Store too?

*cough*Affinity Designer is runner up*cough* and the winner is Notability.

For Mac games the winner is Tomb Raider and the runner up is Transistor.

For transparency please note I work with the Serif team that makes Affinity Designer :).

Good to see Threes! taking the prize for best game.

2048 was a shoddy ripoff that got a lot of attention because it was free, so I'm glad Threes! has been recognised.

For those interested, the developers of Threes! grew frustrated with the copycats spawning onto the App Store, and detailed the 14 month development process.

A good read for anybody interested in app development.

Beyonce and TS? They must mean most sold...which does not mean the best.

I think it's interesting that YouTube is a top download after getting kicked off as a default install. I'm not surprised since video is a killer app for the ipad

Who is playing Clash of Clans???

I play this game. Really don't have time to play much of anything these days and this is perfect for me. It take a week or more to build something. I can check in once a day and done. What does amaze me is all the impatient folk that spend money to speed up the building. Clearly the developers have figured out how to separate the fools from their money.

A year and a half ago, when I joined, I spent 10 bucks to get me going. But now the slow pace actually fits just right.

Is Apple going to do the 12 days of Christmas app again?

But they are the best for somebody.

I so hate this new wave of corporate manufactured 'music'. It's just Milli Vanilli with a thicker coat of paint.

Seems to be a mistake

dalecook, you and your team did an incredible job. Affinity Designer looks amazing! Thank you for the efforts and for pricing it so reasonably.

Looking forward to further releases from Serif. I heard you have a raster graphics application in the works. Is that correct? When can we expect that to hit the shelves?
