The way I see it, the MacBook Neo sits right between an iPad 13 inch with a keyboard and a full desktop — it's the perfect thin client for remoting into something beefy like a Mac Studio. My plan is to go all in: Mac Studio M5 Max (or maybe Ultra if I can justify it) for the heavy lifting, and a MacBook Neo in one of those fresh citrus colorways for on-the-go. Honestly can't wait.

Wow! That was AMAZING! Not! A big nothing burger for sure. Mac Neo made with all the left over iPhone and iPad parts. An iPad with a keyboard running MacOS.
But that’s pretty cool, isn’t it? How many times have I heard on this forum that folks wanted the iPad to run macOS? Now you have it!

It’s a win.

Btw, I swiped an iPad Pro M5 when the price momentarily dropped $200 a couple weeks ago.

I was holding my breath up to the event, but I have No regrets.

What a release! The MacBook Air and MacBook Pro are now more expensive, the cheap MacBook is as expected just here to support these higher entry prices. The rest are just chip swaps and colour variations. Honestly where is the analytics from you bloggers?

Edit: and still no 120Hz on the Air. Got to keep this price gating.

Apple CEO Tim Cook shared a wrap-up post on social media, and with pre-orders now live for all of the new products, we're not expecting any additional announcements this week
BUT…….. we’re not done yet for the Macs this year.

We still have Mac Pro and Mac Studio to update with M5 chip lineup, and my guess is WWDC, considering this is the “every other year” Apple usually announces hardware during the developer event.

We also have entry level iPad and new Apple TV to update but I’m guessing Apple is saving those till fall “Entertainment” event (where they also announce iPhones)

Apple seems to send all the Apple fan sites the copy they should post, so I guess Apple has told them (and us) that we're done with new products this week. No updated Mac Studio. No M5 Ultra.

Honestly one of the devices I need the most is a new Apple TV. I feel like the old one I have upstairs is chugging a bit, and I'm tired of the old style touch controller. Would love to get the new one to put downstairs in the movie room, and put that one—which is still serviceable—upstairs to run our secondary TV.

Especially if the new one has a camera or camera accessory. We use the Apple TV a lot with FaceTime to call family around the country, but setting it up with my iPhone can be finicky at times, especially getting it positioned just right or dealing with a random connection issue needing to reboot one or both devices. It also tends to drain my iPhone battery pretty quickly, and since we often call in the evening, it can kill the battery mid-call. Should probably setup a charger over there, or maybe 3D print a MagSafe dock that angles the phone perfectly each time.

Good to see links to all articles in one place. Would have been nice if there was an Apple event. All new devices are good. Except the Neo, all of them are minor updates only.

From a personal point of view a bit of a meh week. My wife might be interested in a Macbook Neo, though ive been trying to convince her to get a new laptop for years, so she isnt exactly going to run out to get one. Whilst I'm sat here still waiting for the Fold, OLED iPad Mini and new Apple TV... sigh.

I thought they were waiting for 26.4 which should be available soon. Where did you hear June? I'm also in the market for a few of the latest.
There is no newer version of Siri in the betas for 26.4. I doubt Apple will release anything else with just 3 month left until WWDC, where they probably announce the newer Siri and the devices that it will work with

512GB option for M3 Ultra Mac Studio isn't even shown now, after being characterized as "unavailable" for a couple weeks and before that available with a lead time of 3 months.

Where is a MacPro update?
Where is the Apple TV update?
Where is a smaller form phone - iPhone mini or SE?
Sad these products are completely ignored.
I am ready to buy all 3, but Tim Cook doesn't seem to be focused on outdated products.
I can't wait for Tim to retire, and Apple get's new aggressive leadership.
