I'm always amazed what you kids learn in Fanboy school. Compare Apple products with BMWs. Use words like "elegant" ,"Delicious" , and "sexy" to describe a computer.
And of course justify the high prices (High Margins) with rants like "Apple doesn't wish to play in the bottom end".. "Market share isn't everything"...
Yes it is - it is everything. If there's one thing Ballmer got right it's "developers, developers, developers"... I can't run my business on a naively because developers won't develop the software I need because of low market share - No Anvil, No Autocad, no Primavera Project Planner, no business "standard" accounting package (Like Computereese or COINS).
And please, I need to run standard software, not "Uncle Joe's CADD" or "Joe's Excellent Project Software"...
I love my Macs, and luckily, I can afford them. They're good for safe surfing on the web, email, and doing my media (graphics/movies/photos), but that's about it... Until Apple lowers the prices to where they are affordable to everyone - I (and millions of others) will always need to have a PC to get any real work done...
And please, don't even bring up BOOT Camp or other virturalization nonsense. That's a pain in the ass and it's almost as cheap to buy a complete PC than it is to buy a copy of Win 7. (plus I don't want that garbage infesting my Macs)
