For some it will be!But, but, but, several people on MR think 8GB of ram is plenty in 2023.
Literally every Apple product has gone on sale at other websites days after being announced. That tells a story about preorders.
No, anything above 8GB of RAM is a BTO so the 8GB ones are heavily produced and the ones that sell 9/10 units. If you are spending this much and not upgrading the RAM, you are doing it wrong. Looks like they are all locked 8gb configs. Typically those are the ones heavily discounted because no on wants them.
I probably wouldn't either. The M1s are still more than good enough. Nothing I've seen about the M3 makes we want to upgrade from my M1 14inch Pro. M3 is too soon after M2 and feels like another incremental upgrade.
I use both PCs and Macs. I understand exactly how RAM works by the way, but nice passive aggressive jibe followed by a smiley face. For some it will be!
You can only speak for your own needs!
Apart from that, you sound like a PC user, because u clearly don't understand how RAM works differently on a Mac 😊
Oh boy that doesnt sound good!!!!!I would never buy from Adorama. They failed to ship my laptop on time (and I was at risk of losing out on a rebate) and I cancelled the order. They eventually ended up shipping it anyway and then refused to refund the shipping charge.
Just be aware that sites like Adorama and B&H Photo do not allow returns of opened laptops.Anyone know if Adorama is a good place to buy from?
It says nothing about preorders. That tells a story about preorders.
I'm fine with the M3 starting at 8 GB RAM; it's the "Pro" laptop starting with the chip below the "Pro" that rankles me. Even leaving aside the philosophical question of what "Pro" really means, the inconsistency is just begging to cause customer confusion. The default config should be 16/512, no excuses Apple!
They do this for good reason. I used to work in the photo business and, unfortunately, you get a lot of people who will 'buy' laptops and cameras just to do a job for the weekend, then return it all on Monday to get their money back. Even with cameras, that's why a lot of companies now have an automatic restocking fee if the tape on the box is broken or an opened camera is returned.Just be aware that sites like Adorama and B&H Photo do not allow returns of opened laptops.
I’m not saying there isn’t a good reason. Just that buyer should be aware, particularly since we are in that 2 month window where Apple allows an extended trial period no questions asked so long as the machine is still salable when returned. They do this for good reason. Adorama is a drop shipper. That basically means that they pass your order along to Apple who actually fulfills your order.Oh boy that doesnt sound good!!!!!
PLUS, no customer support as it sounds..Adorama is a drop shipper. That basically means that they pass your order along to Apple who actually fulfills your order.
