I thought this was a rumor site, not a news site. Check out the NY Times if you want news.

Sure, so now this thread is about a rumor huh. AFAIK you/we're talking facts about the latest adds and facts = news, not rumors.

Granted. But doesn't she act... a little too cutesy?

I don't know her, but from what I've seen on youtube videos she's made herself with some friends, her personality isn't too far off from the commercial.

Uhm, it looks like the Galaxy Note IS popular for being a niche product after all.

Good job, to both Apple and Samsung

My friend has the Note and its actually really cool esp. the larger screen that means i can actually type without hitting the wrong letters ;)

Im considering getting one too.

I could watch Zooey Deschanel walk around in her pajamas for hours.

The Samsung "Note" ads all look great until you realize that since the device has no idea what you wrote, you'll need to transcribe all the text so you can use it; including word searching and finding expressions. Might as well scribble your prose on a scrap of paper.

Well, you might as well buy a iPod 2 and really type easily, or get the New iPad where you can do voice dictation and not bother typing at all. With these iDevices you can also chose from 10,000 apps and really get your jollies off.

Beats the hell out of Note one-trick-pony.

I know. As an Android user, I've considered upgrading from my Galaxy S2 (4.3") because it feels too small to me sometimes :D

I could never be an iPhone owner, that's for sure.

Something about SIRI and the overall advertising campaign, particularly these new spots, leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Like when Zooey asks SIRI if it's raining outside, my first reflex is to roll my eyes. I mean, really?

Damn.

Every time I see that Samsung Galaxy Note "Best of a Phone and Tablet" ad, I wish my iPhone hand PEN INPUT.

I came to the iPhone from the Palm platform and still use a Wacom tablet for all my graphics work, so "finger painting" does not cut it for me at all.

The Samsung people know that this is the ONLY place that Apple is vulnerable and are going after it.

I hope that Apple gives us PEN INPUT sooner rather than later.

IIRC, the galaxy note has a wacom digitizer. That's some nice input there.

Don't care..

Don't care, don't care, don't care...

Damn, give us some Mac rumors!

I don't care who liked some stupid TV ads, they do not influence my buying
I don't care how many Androids are sold. or how many analysts think will sell
I don't care about the iPhone 5 or whatever it is going to be called. The chips to support it aren't ready in volume yet. It will be out this fall.
I don't care about Apple TV's or iPanels until they are actually released, because until then they are just a "hobby". Besides the whole streaming video market has been screwed up by the media companies. And not much worth watching either.
And there won't be another new iPad in a while, so don't care about them either.

Intel as released new CPUs. ATI has released new mobile GPUs. Previous rumor were "supplies constrained". If Apple is making new Macbook Pro and Mac Pros, the factories have to be building up an inventory of them. Parts are being fabricated.

Can't some FoxConn slave sneak out a ribbon cable or an Enter key in a body cavity to show us that something is coming?

"Mac Rumors" is not much of a "rumors" site anymore. Like most Apple sites now it is just regurgitating media nonsense. No inside info.

Not even a decent Tim Cook sighting in at least a week.

Samual L Jackson????

You have got to be kidding? Let a racist, dictator (Hugo Chavez) loving ******* represent your product. This is the first time in 15 years that I want to abandon Apple.

Source?

Is there any place to view all the commercials, including the Samsung ads? I've seen the two Siri ads because they were posted here on MR, but none of the others.

And no, I don't watch TV.

Edit. Okay, I've found a few on various web sites ... just hoping to find one place to see them all. Life is never easy.
I was asking myself the same question...
Here you can see them all:

Don't care, don't care, don't care...

Damn, give us some Mac rumors!

Didn't you get the meme? We're living in a "post-PC" era, who cares about desktops, power systems and professionals who make a living and need work stations? I want a new iPhone to replace last years, cause the one I have is already dated. What is a "Mac Pro"? Is that a new 15" MacBook Air?! Who needs more than one display? An iPad or MacBook Pro "ought to be enough for anybody."

/sarcasm

iPhone, iPad, Ad Infinitum!

The talks all about iPhones & iPads, iPhones & iPads, iPhones & iPads & all I want to do is buy (and read about) a new iMac!

I need one for video editing. My current iMac that's 3 1/2 years old is no longer adequate. The fastest iMac now offered is:

3.4GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
16GB 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 4x4GB
2TB Serial ATA Drive + 256GB Solid State Drive
AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2GB GDDR5
Apple Magic Mouse + Magic Trackpad

What O what will the new one be like & can I order it in the first 30 seconds after it's introduced (and don't talk to me about Mac Pro on my retired person's income:O)

I really like the Samuel L Jackson ad. The Zooey ad is a bit grating.

But both of these are far better than the awful Samsung ads that make fun of Apple users. I'm glad Apple can sell their products without perpetuating stereotypes and making fun of people.

Mac vs PC commercials come to mind...

Mac vs PC commercials come to mind...

That's a really good point, but I never felt that the mac vs pc ads were jokes made at anyone's expense. They weren't trying to make PC users feel stupid, they were trying to make the PCs themselves seem clunky and inferior.

Samsung is directly and intentionally trying to insult iPhone users, and it comes off as really petty, cheap, and desperate. The Mac vs PC ads were a clever way to get PC users to consider buying a Mac, people who previously had never given it much thought and were themselves stuck in stereotypes, like "switching is too hard" and "Macs are too expensive." The Samsung ads however seem designed specifically NOT to convert iPhone customers. They seem designed only to retain current Samsung customers, at the expense of actually alienating iPhone customers.

So for me, the Mac vs PC ads seemed clever and all in good fun. I don't know a PC user who didn't laugh at them, whether they owned a Mac or not. But the Samsung ads are preaching to the choir, insulting one user group just to make their customers feel better. The Mac vs PC ads were never about making Mac users feel better about themselves. The Apple ads reflected topics that someone buying a computer needs to consider, like software packages and reliability. The Samsung ads were all about feeling cool and hip and different, and not feeling like a mindless follower. And that doesn't really have anything to do with buying a Smartphone.* And when Apple said "Think Different" they didn't have to make fun of PC users to get their point across. They just said it.

I won't say that Apple is innocent of trying to make PC users feel a little less hip, but I don't remember them directly making fun of them, portraying them as dumb, fad-humping sheep. While Apple was insulting their competitor's product, Samsung is insulting their competitor's customers. That's the key difference. Apple gave those devices personalities that they felt reflected the design and user experiences of each device, not the people who use them. The point was for the viewer to decide which device's "personality" was something they wanted to use and have in their home. Samsung is portraying heavily sterotyped personalities of the users themselves. Remember, John Hodgman wasn't portraying a PC user. He was portraying a PC itself. Samsung is portraying Apple users.

And I'm not saying you're necesarilly wrong, this is all just my opinion of these two ads. To each their own. Also, I have no hate for Samsung, even if I'm not impressed with their current products. I really liked their Super Bowl ad that had The Darkness performing in a huge sponteneous street party. They took a higher road with that one.

*Which I realize is rampant in advertising these days, ads that don't relate to the product. But it's still dumb. I saw an ad on TV last night that was all about some independent filmmaker being accepted into Sundance. The ad was for Bing. I mean how the hell does that make any sense? Why would that make anyone want to use Bing? Ads can be so stupid.
