Apple's confidentiality w/ the FCC

    i think theres definitly more info to come, like why did APPLE ask the FCC to hold some documents? They said it would give other companies an advantage to the iPhone, so whats this advantage?

    They probably wanted to secure their patents before releasing the data.

    If the iPhone's radios are capable of 3G (HSDPA), it could take a simple firmware upgrade to allow 3G access. Notice Apple requested the radio diagrams in its FCC paperwork to be kept confidential.

    (quoting from apple's help pages on the pre-release discussion pages :) Anyone confirm that apple asked not to release the diagrams specifically?
