Apple's Dashboard Widget Download Site for OS X Broken

How do i remove the dashboard? So annoying it shows as a desktop when it does not work!

open terminal and type

defaults write com.apple.dashboard mcx-disabled -boolean YES

then type

killall Dock

i did it myself, dashboard kinda lost its magic

As an avid snowboarder in the PNW I find Dashboard to be tremendously useful during the wintertime thanks to the ECSatellite widget.

Dopplers and satellites to help keep track of the pow, yo.
