MacRumors has also received word that Apple has been delaying some iPhone 4 orders that had been carrying delivery estimates for the next few days, pushing them out to delivery next week while citing "an unexpected delay".

"Unexpected Delays"??? What is it that Apple didn't expect? That it would take as long as it does to un-box all those iPhones to repair the defect? The only unexpected delay is the one where Apple refused to admit there is a defect. A defect that was known from the beginning.

And then there's this regarding the update:

    - Improves the formula to determine how many bars of signal strength to display

Improves? This statement would be more accurate: "The initial signal strength formula falsified the signal strength by making it appear as if the iPhone had a stronger signal than it actually did."

All companies have various problems with quality from time to time and many, if not most, are guilty of the same practices. I would have much more respect for Apple if they would have just been honest and up front from the beginning. Instead, they denied the problems even existed....and took action to hide them. What ever happened to character? Step up and be a man about it. Take responsibility for your mistakes, we all make mistakes. Dont go run and hide like a punk and pretend it doesnt exist.
