This is annoying. Got a replacement phone from the genius bar and came home, installed a fresh iOS7 on it and it said, "Not registered with Developer program" so I go, "ok, ill just add it in the portal..." Wrongo bub... this is gonna annoy me.

I am in the exact same situation. Got a replacement phone, installed beta 3 and then tried to add udid and realized the system was down. Now I can't use my phone at all and have to wait until apple fixes this mess. Most likely not something they planned and are fixing something major. But still. I am up a river right now without paddles

Just a side note: the WWDC session videos are also unavailable. :(

I wonder if someone cracked into their servers and did something malicious?

More importantly, why is that hideous skeuomorphic linen background still there? :p

It needs a touch of iOS 7

I reverted to iOS 6. For now. I feel like the Amish on this archaic thing! Lol

This is what I got for bug reports ....

Apple Connect
Sorry Cannot Authenticate Because:
The Application you have selected does not exist.

Wow! What's going on, I wonder.

Bugreporter is actually working for me today, odd as that's been totally hit or miss for the last month.

Why do I have the feeling that when the site comes back it's going to look .. exactly the same as before.

oh dear

Dear Apple Developer Program member,

According to our records, your Apple Developer Program membership is set to expire while our systems are down. Since you’re not able to renew during this time, we have extended your membership expiration date by one week so that any apps you have on the App Store will remain available. We are working to bring our systems back online and will let you know as soon as they are up.

but it isn't. Expires in 2014 .. I do hope they haven't messed it up worse than it is already.

"AppsGate" to be this year's Apple PR Disaster?

Maybe they should remove the NDA so that we can ask questions about iOS7 on other dev forums?

I started converting my app for iOS7 a couple of days ago and came across some issues straight away. I don't want to spend too much time working out how to get round them when someone has probably asked the same questions already on the Apple dev forums and had answers. I can't check the WWDC videos for their recommendations and the beta Xcode docs are understandably sparse. So please Apple, let us ask questions on other forums!

I want to release the next version of my app soon and probably won't have time to release another version for several months. I planned to make it as iOS7 compatible as possible and left that work until last so that I could use the most up to date beta possible (which seemed logical).

However without the dev site then it's too much effort to make it work on the new OS, so if this goes on for much longer then my app probably won't be compatible when iOS7 comes out, which isn't ideal for me, and certainly won't be ideal for Apple if other developers are in the same position.

If lots of third party apps don't work properly on their new operating system when it first comes out then last year's "MapsGate" could turn into this year's "AppsGate"!

What was behind that (now under maintenance) developer link anyway? I only ever needed itunes connect.

The developer portal is where you go to download iOS system images (including beta images if you have access), access the SDK documentation (including prerelease documentation if you have access), and the developer forums. It's also where you set up provisioning profiles, etc before the latest XCode started managing them.

Apple Developer Site Is Down...

This is a very unusual situation. When they say 'maintenance' - that kind of stuff can be setup and then, when it's ready to go, made available in an instant with a name server change.

I am thinking there was some sort of attack that caused significant damage and they are in the process of recovery and fortification.

Here's hoping we learn what really is the scoop. What else besides recovery from an attack could possibly cause them to take the entire development community offline as has happened here?

The only other thing I can think of is if they have decided to completely rework iOS7 in the face of "mixed" reviews from developers. Although that is unlikely, and I hope not because I quite like it!

Having said that my money is also on some sort of outside attack.

Pretty much....

is happening in the Developer Center in these times: iOS 7, Mavericks and so on.....give them a break......is not the Apple Store out for a day or a week....chill out....World will exist with or without Apple....:D

:):apple:

I'm feeling like this could be related to the automation command line tool they released yesterday, Transporter. Maybe someone was able to uncover a huge security vulnerability and use it to wreck havoc.

They would take iTunes connect down if that was the case.

The scope of what they've taken down seems to suggest it's an issue with developer accounts themselves... so anything that could mess with those could be the cause. Maybe Transporter pulled a tumblr and sent credentials in the clear?

Also, zou still have to login before you see the page.
Meaning the authentication has not been taken offline...

Thanks. I never got answers in the forum, never updated documentations and never understood the meaning of these provisioning profiles. Maybe that's the reason why I never visit that link.
