Appreciate the snark. But actually knowing which shows to write a check for is a unique skill; similar to finding professional sports players. (NFL QB, linesmen). Being able to do it looks easy in hindsight.

I'd also add Tehran, a great thriller series involving espionage.

Funny that some here actually believe the award was given to him for being an entertainer. When what it really means was in the first sentence of the story:
"Apple senior vice president Eddy Cue will be honored as "Entertainment Person of the Year" at the Cannes Lions festival next month, recognizing his leadership of the company's entertainment and services business."

Was thinking exactly this… plus the stealing of everybody else’s thunder. This makes it seem like Cue has single handedly entertained the world and achieved the things they mentioned he achieved… not quite, it is the 1000’s people Apple and third parties partners in concert along with him.
This award and the description seems like more for a comedian, say Seinfield, Bill Burr, Gervais or whoever rocks your laughs that entertains the world on the daily.
Have avoided for lack of “interest pique-ing”!

This is great. We definitely need more rich old guys receiving special awards.
Seems many here panning Eddy Cue with sideways/childish comments are not aware that the division he oversees within Apple (which includes entertainment) is responsible for 30% of Apple's total revenue. Which works out to $109 Billion in 2025.
This is an advertising industry award.

Is the $109 Billion his division earned for Apple last year under his leadership inadequate?
I didn't know other people see him that way too. I'm not alleging anything about him. He's could be a wonder person. But, whenever he appears, I get the "stranger danger" vibe.
He's always rubbed me the wrong way and gives me the creeps. I also don't think he's a great executive. Apple's C suite could use some pruning.
