in my experience, they are usually quite good when products are shipped from within europe.

if products coming from china etc.. then it's a bit varied.

but always keep on eye on the est/scheduled delivery dates, as these can change.

im not sure about UK but here in Canada it's so bizarre. i ordered an ipod nano and a standard 2.6GHz MP with 4G ram and BT keyboard. the nano came in after 2 days (it originated from the US) but the MP is totally different. all i got is a tracking number with Sameday Rightoway ( which gives me no useful information other than "Your shipment has not arrived at a Sameday facility. Please refer to your shipper" everytime i try to track it. oh and it's been 11 days since i placed the order

I hate when they ship with sameday... once upon a time i ordered an ipod video and a nano for my brother - the nano shipped the following day with sameday, and the video a week later with fedex. The video arrived 3 days following shipping, but the nano didn't get here (also canada) until a week after the video did.

3 days to ship with Fedex (from china)
17 days for sameday (also from china)

    Same day my ass!

In my experience they lack any conection with reality. Out of four seperate orders I have placed over the last 19 months all four took at leat a week longer after dispatch to arrive (two weeks longer in the case of one order) over and above the stated 5-7 working days that Apple notes on their site. Dispatch dates are always "whenever they get around to it". Any "ships within 24 hours" items have alwasy taken two day to process the order, and 2 to 3 more days before dispatch (interesting definition of "24 hours"). For items with longer dispatch times things are a little more on target - but Apple has always been let down by their choice of couriers (who appear to deliver by pack-snail and not on vehicles powered by these new-fangeled internal combustion engines).

I just ordered mine 2 days ago, standard Black model with a USB Modem. Ready to Ship: 7 days. Can anyone confirm that it will/won't take that long for it to be "Ready to Ship?"

Also, that was from the Ireland store, so, sorry to threadcrap and all.

Oh I'm peeved... I orderd on the 8th, and it said that it shipped the sameday via Sameday shippers to Canada. I too hate their website. I called twice to check and they said that it was in Vancouver on the 14th and I should have got it on the 15th.. I haven't seen the door knocker or anything, not even a call from them. I called to put a trace and they still can't tell me anything userful. The told be they'd call back and never did. Why in the hell are they using these shippers..
