Heads up, Amazon charges an 15% restocking fee on opened computers and tablets. I looked at doing this back in October before realizing it wasn’t free. For a few weeks now, Amazon has modified to the Return Policy to January 31, 2023 on practically everything Amazon sells. You might as well buy from Amazon and get a few extra weeks for any Apple item. You're not going to get a discount at Apple while you just may at Amazon.
Computers and Electronics
- New desktop, laptops, or tablets (excluding Kindle E-readers and Fires) purchased from Amazon.com that didn't start when they arrived, arrived in damaged condition, or is still in an unopened box can be returned for a full refund within 30 days of purchase.
- Amazon.com may test computers that are returned because they didn't start when they arrived and impose a customer fee equal to 15 percent of the product sales price if the customer misrepresents the condition of the product.
- Any returned desktop, laptop or tablet that is damaged through customer misuse, is missing parts, or is in unsellable condition due to customer tampering may result in the customer being charged a higher restocking fee based on the condition of the product.
- New, used, and refurbished products purchased from Marketplace vendors are subject to the returns policy of the individual vendor.
I’d double check. It says carrier financing isn’t covered (you usually get 30 days with those) but Apple financing may be.I have quite a few disability-related requirements and use touch control and voice control quite a lot. I still have a 6s plus and hardly ever hold the device so the larger devices are not a hindrance. Screen realestate is much more important than weight or bulkiness. Am I right in thinking that I could get the 14 pro max, put it through its paces and if for some reason that I can't begin to imagine I'm not happy with it that I can just take it back after Christmas for a full refund even though I have used it? I've been quite curious about the always on display, how face ID will work if the phone is on my desk on a stand while I am at home. Also wanting to see how all the audio processing of Siri/voice control on the much more powerful device compares to the old cloud-based way.
Does anyone know if it has to be an outright purchase or if I choose the Apple 24 months option, it still qualifies, as long as the process is done on the Apple site? Thanks for any help.

I don’t think we’ll have to wait till April, it’ll very likely be Q1 (Jan/Feb/March).I don't think we will see a new Apple product until Spring. Most likely in March/April time frame. Apple is pretty much done at this point. I do suspect we might see Apple AR/VR headsets by 1st quarter of 2023.
It isn't a big deal, I can afford to just purchase outright in one lump. It's just if I keep it, and I can't see how it would somehow perform in a way I don't like, why not take 0% and spread the cost.I’d double check. It says carrier financing isn’t covered (you usually get 30 days with those) but Apple financing may be.
Why would you only buy Apple cables? They are literally the worst quality products they make.Does this apply to cables? It’s the only thing I buy from Apple now.
This is the best time to evaluate an Apple product instead of being rushed with the usual 14 calendar days.Apple today announced that its extended return policy is now in effect for the holiday shopping season. The policy applies to most products that Apple sells, including the iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Apple TV, AirPods, HomePod mini, and more.
In the United States, Canada, the UK, Australia, and select other countries, most items purchased between November 4, 2022 and December 25, 2022 may be returned through January 8, 2023:
Apple retail stores same policy. Normally you buy it online anyway, and pick up in the store. Dumb of Apple to forget to say retail stores. see hereThey say apple online store but what about retail physical stores?
well I did that test a year ago, coming from XS. For me 6.1 inches completely broke one-hand ability which 5.8 inches still barely preserves. I’m not even talking about reaching the top of the screen, simply reaching the icon across the width of the phone is Hit or miss. Have to settle on the 13mini at the end.Now is the time to really test if I can handle 6.1 inches. More than a month to try the new standard in iPhone sizes.
If the result is a no-no, I can always try a mini and see if the PMW is less aggressive now (or my eyes get used to it).
Yeah, I’m afraid that could be the case for me as well, but I have larger than average hands, so we’ll see.well I did that test a year ago, coming from XS. That’s a great idea!Let the extended test drives of Apple Watch ultra commence
Carrier financing purchased through apple.com or apple store usually does not qualify for the extended return period as it has to go by what the carrier policy for it. I'm not sure if things changed recently but i know then the past carrier gave you 13-14 days to return a device before you get locked in to that contract/dpp.I was waiting until the holiday return policy went into effect, and I purchased an iphone 14 pro max through the online store today for in store pickup under the IUP for a gift for a family member. I picked up the phone in store shortly after. I asked the retail rep if my purchase is covered under the extended return policy, and she said yes. I just checked my order page, and it says I have 14 days to make a return. Am I out of luck if I give this as a gift after the 14 days, and they want a different phone?
I did speak to Apple Online, and they said that my purchase will qualify for the extended return period even though my order page says otherwise. I might take it to the another physical store and see what they say, too. I understand doing iUP is different as you aren't really tied to a carrier but seems like this one doesn't qualify? Have you contacted apple or chatted with them online?
I ordered the Deep purple 14 pm 1 tb via apple.com as an in-store pick up on November 2. I wasn't able to pick it up that day because I was out of state and knowing that I'd be back to my home in couple of days after. I walk into the store on 11/4 and see apple staff wearing red so I figured that's the day it has begun. I asked them if my order qualifies for the extended return since I ordered it on 11/2/22. They weren't sure but said that it's in the gray area. I checked my web order status after I picked it up and did a mock initiate return and sure enough I have till 1/8/23 to initiate the return for an aditional 14 days after that date. I'm so glad I didn't pick it up on 11/2/22 and waited till 11/4/22 to pick it up.
