Got the orange 17 Pro with the sienna techwoven case. Nice trial, if I like I keep, if I don't notice a big difference between it and my 13 Pro Max I have 56 days to return it.

I'm planning to trial the iPhone Air, but I'm a bit concerned about the 'undamaged return condition' policy.

My main worry is that normal, everyday use—even if I'm careful—might cause some minor micro-scratches on the screen. To be safe, I'm considering buying a Belkin screen protector along with the device in the Apple Store.

However, the screen protector might not be refundable once it's applied, so that's a guaranteed cost if I decide to return the phone?

I'm looking for some suggestions:

1. Does anyone have experience returning a trial device? How strict are they about tiny, normal-use scratches on the screen?

2. Is Belkin screen protector refundable?

Thanks for any advice!
