Was the new Superman good? When I saw him being all emotional in the trailer, it turned me off. Superman has always been calm and cool-headed. What I saw in the trailer doesn't seem to follow that... but I could be wrong in the full context of the movie.

I do think the draw for F1 will be the cinematography more than anything else. Pitt ain't no Cruise.

I thought the new Superman film is the best one they've ever made. And much much better then any Marbella film since Avengers or Guardians of The Galaxy 1, maybe 2 also.

Once upon a time you made money with movies in the following way:
1. Theatrical release
2. DVD “rental”
3. DVD “purchase”
4. Tv rights on a per market basis (one broadcaster per country)
5. For TV shows, you could sell the distribution rights after some years to a company with strong distribution to reach untapped customers in a given market

Now?
1. Theatrical
2. Streaming

Never “broadcast”.

Which is, in my opinion somewhat a poor business decision.
I am glad streamers release theatrically, but I wish they would also release on broadcast. Imagine “stranger things” or “Ted lasso” or the some AppleTV movies that performed below expectations on NBC, or other broadcast in countries where streaming is expensive. It would increase the cultural value of the product enormously and entice people to subscribe. And make some money. I guess it is the next step.
