Oh, well then I guess it can't ever happen to anyone.

Ya, it's the old 'I live here so I know I'm right' argument.

Downtown LA is the same way.

I wish it was called Apple Store Tower Theatre. Angela Ahrendts should have never removed the word “Store” from the “Apple Store” name. It sounds pretentious and snobby, as if it’s trying to be some exclusive upscale luxury goods store.

Apple Stores at the moment are largely useless, and I wonder if they will change? You cannot do anything without a reservation, other than look.. If you wanted to buy something that perhaps was not on the shelf, good luck and you need to hope that the reservation list is short, or your coming back a few hours to the next day to make your purchase..

As far as I am concerned, Apple has tossed customer service out the window..

Sure they renew these places and they look great. but unless they get back to actually servicing the customers quickly, and not a perpetual reservation system, they'll never get the return on investment and in place like this, its debatable in the first place... Who did the homework to decide this location was a money maker?

Lol I live in New York and I’ve never once been “assaulted” by a homeless person. 😂
I never have been “assaulted” by a homeless person in LA either. I take Expo line, Green Line and Gold Line almost daily 6 months out of the year when I’m not in Phoenix.

“Town Square” lmao

Ironically it's easier to get the street view in Google Maps than Apple Maps. I live in the area and typing in Tower Theatre in GM took me right there. Apple Maps top 9 (initial list) didn't have it.

DTLA is happening. Sorry for those who can't deal with real life.

I didn't realize the black cladding around the Tower had been removed. I was downtown yesterday, parked at 9th & Olive to drop off some Apple accessories at 801 S Olive. I was working so I didn't have time to drive down Broadway. The only thing I agree with is parking isn't the best, but that's no different than any other central city. There are plenty of options including buses and yes, scooters, that will take you right to the front door.

Eh. I don’t think it’s that serious lol. Yes, they are all RETAIL STORES, but they function to do more than just allow you to buy things (despite that being the MAIN focus).

Also… Apple has always thought of themselves as luxury/upscale (which they kinda are). It’s just that Angela took it to another level.

That is unfortunate about the parking. I’m sure it won’t stop droves of visitors stopping by though. Where there’s a will, there’s a way!

Have you considered that Apple, like many other businesses, has been dealing with a worldwide pandemic for more than a year that has killed 600K people in the US and 3.8million worldwide while overwhelming hospitals and healthcare systems - a once in a hundred year kind of event?

Before going off on your personal needs not being perfectly met, try and put yourself in shoes of others trying their best to do the right thing, protecting their employees and customers.

You'll never catch me in there. The homeless population in the area is insane. They will assault you for no reason at all like in NYC.

I spent two years in San Francisco's Tenderloin neighborhood night and day hitting up strangers on the street for a bit of conversation and making a few portraits for a project. Many were "homeless," suffering from a variety of physical/mental health issues and addictions from living in an underserved neighborhood. Out of at least 200 engagements/portraits I *never* had an issue with anyone; including many who most people would characterize as "scary."

If you treat people openly offering respect/dignity/honesty, it flows right back.

There are parking lots downtown, but they are expensive.

The new Apple Store is at a corner with a bus stop, and it's only a 7-minute walk from the 7th Street/Metro Center station rail station. Unless you're carrying large items, like a newly purchased iMac, taking public transportation is a handy way to visit the store.

didn't stop ijustine from getting a sneak peek!😂

Line of people already wrapped around the block to get in, still doesn't open for two hours. Guess they didn't have a problem finding parking.
