Apple's Foldable iPad Still In the Works, Could Arrive by 2029

Please Apple, don’t do this. I don’t want an iPad that can be peeled like an orange, and scratched with a fingernail because the screen has a plastic protector. Not to mention, it’ll cost 2x more for that privilege….

What I want is a MacBook pro with a detachable keyboard, running macOS

Yes. Or a hybrid with a detachable keyboard…I would love to hot key switch between MacOs and IOS.

Current have a third party keyboard for ipad pro, with the ipad mounted on a third party stand that places it at eye level, and the keyboard in my lap. Perfect. No more hunched over shoulders. If I could hot key over to MacOS for certain uses, I’d pay twice as much, easily.

I really don’t understand why they’re bothering to add a touchscreen to the MacBook Pro if it’s not going to be functional as a tablet. NOBODY uses laptops in that way.

Not sure whether I will buy one. Durability is a concern and definitely such a device will be extremely costly. Would prefer to have a MacBook along with a normal iPad Pro. Also not expecting to see such a device anytime within the next 5 years.
