Runaway Train

After having scrupulously avoided iCloud Photos or 20 years, a device update and new device add seemed to have triggered « iCloud photos » sync on nearly all devices. My own setup is local backups, and one master local library with auto sync to a NAS Server.
Now …
I wake up to find that this feature was switched on by Apple and my libraries are a complete mess - double albums arbitrarily created, errors all over the autop sync to NAS brought them ALL over to the NAS and they are a complete mess over there.

My advice to anyone who does NOT want this feature/ regularly check that it si turned off. F_ck Apple and there simplistic « we know what ‘s best for you » garbage.
