Not unlike you keep doing.

Plenty of us have shown you the solutions to your 'issues'. If it doesn't work for you then so be it...but then the new MacBook pros are not for you at this time.

Reality is the new MacBook Pros come with only USB-C ports. All of us that purchase them, will either connect wirelessly, connect with an adaptor, or buy replacement cables for the devices we own, and possibly like me replace some flash drives.....that is reality. Maybe even purchase a new peripheral device. There are other choices and if that reality does not work for you, then perhaps it is time to look into those choices.

The base version comes with 2 ports not 4.. C'mon man.. Do you fans ever stop with the onslaught of bogus info?

Look, I am still considering the Macbook but I am not foolish enough to believe for one second there is any value in doing so.. If I buy it, it will be full well knowing that I am overpaying for what I am getting..

Then you are a fool...if you feel you are overpaying and there is no value in doing so.

The value I see is in the build quality and the OS NOT in the internal parts of the machine.. Got it? Understand?

If you think you are getting value internally then I have a bridge for sale, if you are interested...

I think you are the one more likely to buy a bridge(perhaps that is why you have one for sale :) )....build quality means nothing if the machine does not work for you....

Internally I am getting...

Faster SSD
4gb gpu ram
Faster IO ports that mean I can plug whatever I need in to any of the USB-C ports.
Better screen
Faster CPU

No I don't need help and now you are just acting childish...

I, along with many others, prefer a wired connection. The bottom line is that you can not connect an iPhone to the Macbook without an adapter.. Get it? Understand?

The Macbook is sold as a Pro.. Again, Apple needs to add an asterisk at the end of the 2016 version Pro moniker. Mackbook Pro* (*when used with dongles and adapters - sold separately)
No one is forcing you to upgrade. The 2015 is more than a capable device that will last a very long time. Get that laptop as it still has the older I/O.

Yes, the Macbook Pro is pushing USB-C which is the future, but obviously is compromised for present day use where the rest of the market has to catch up. Adapters will be necessary in the short term, but the long-term adoption of this versatile port is worth the switch. It's up to the consumer whether or not he wants to invest in the I/O early or wait until the market matures.

If this device does not suit your needs, which clearly is the case since you keep stressing the need for adapters or the need of changing your peripherals, you can simply wait and not buy the rMBP until next year or the year after when the rest of the market has fully adopted USB-C and you can freely purchase this laptop with peace of mind. :)

There is literally NO genuine reason someone would even need to plug their phone into their computer other than to charge (which can be done with the plug provided in the box)..

Everything on the iPhone can be backed up wirelessly. It should be obvious from the removal of the headphone jack that Apple doesn't design the phone to have sync cables coming out of it.

As for the Mac, USB C is more advanced and versatile than any of the ports they've removed. It's their aggressiveness at moving on that helps to push these technologies quicker.

How about they go back to putting floppy and CD-ROM drives in these things..

As for the rMBP, I will be plugging in my iPhone for full encrypted back ups as well as manually sorting my media. I do not use an streaming service and I prefer not to use iCloud for back ups. Old habits die hard I guess.

I will be purchasing a lightning to usb-c cable. It does not bother me one bit. Problem solved.

Now compare those specs / increases to a Windows machine that cost anywhere from $500-$1500 less AND has no need for dongles and adapters.... Yes plenty of Win machines also have USB C and USB and, and, and, and, and....

Why, If they don't have all USB-C would I compare.? I am happy with all USB-C. The MacBook Pro and the upgrades I order and the price I paid for the total package work for me. And any windows Machine I would order would be around the same costs...I am not buying the base model, far from it. And there are already reports of the low end MBP compared to a like spec'd out Windows alternative and yes the MBP is about $100 more expensive...so that build quality you talk about isn't worth the extra $100?

Look all we are trying to say is it works for us and not you. It is really OK it isn't the right Laptop for you. As you point out there are other alternatives. It is also OK the new MBPs work for me and my business....I understand not everyone needs the same thing. I work with people who use all different types of computers...some even carry both a MBP and a Windows machine with dongles for both(I even used to do that when I needed to), because that is what works for them. None of us in my profession care which machine you pick as long as it gets the job done.

You are so hot to show us how stupid we are because the new MBP works for us....when reality it just isn't the right fit for you, and again that is OK.

So you're joining the bandwagon that thinks Apple makes its billions of dollar by selling adapters? They don't. Either that, or you think the faithful will buy the new MacBook Pro 'because' it has new connectors? That doesn't make sense either.

Every device that connected to a MacBook Pro in September still connects to the the new MacBook Pros.
Just to clarify, I wasn't thinking about adapters actually, just the general feeling apple will/would generate if these macbooks are successful that every thing right now needs to be usb-c and we all should be spending loads of money on new hardware when in fact it doesn't really - the transition should be a slower process. Apple should have put at least a couple standard usb3 ports on these to allow for this process - but they didn't because they are not on our side anymore.

[doublepost=1478469280][/doublepost]Just another thought! When looking at pictures of the new Apple campus being built anyone one else get the same feeling you had when you saw the Death Star under construction in Star Wars! They really don't feel like the good guys anymore to me!!
