No one is saying that it's uncommon for an exec or engineer to leave a company. He's been there for 10 years and has a pretty significant role. Apple isn't "doomed" because of this or any other leave, but it's definitely news. People are curious.

Your logic can be applied to a lot of other articles as well.

How does one actually goto school to be come a ‘retail engineer’ ?? Is the definition of an Engineer so generic now that corporations just grant whatever title seems important beyond the actual role or that conforms with the majority of staff from the employer?

Retail Engineer? No I haven’t searched it ... Just seems wrong/weird.

Is he responsible for the non sense that tied the Apple Store app to your iCloud account on your device? Haven't been able to use it since.
Me neither, and a huge amount of other long term Apple users, from reading various forums. Apple's response: nothing.

It's an absolute disgrace having tens/hundreds of thousands of users effectively completely unable to use the main Apple Store app, because some department 'decides for everyone' that we must use the Apple ID we already don't use all of sudden, for no apparent reason – we don't use our iCloud one because we historically have our own one already in use for hardware purchases, so we don't want to use iCloud Apple ID!

Utterly ridiculous. ?
