I did doubt their sanity a bit, but mostly I shrugged my shoulders. While I think they went somewhat overboard in that instance, it didn't physically hurt my eyes to use the app. The reel-to-reel tape animation was even sort of endearing, but ultimately the performance of the app suffered, which was my major complaint about it.

I suppose Apple could make everything light gray on top of dark gray but that would get a bit boring. I'll reserve judgement until/if this app gets released.

I am sure this will be very very useful for .... well.... 5% or less of the market buying the iDevices.

The innovation from Apple under Cook is amazing.

Surely you're not that health concious/paranoid? I mean, I can already tell if there is something wrong with me without a phone app that shares my medical information with Apple. Unless you're planning on moving somewhere without healthcare available, like Mars, I don't see how this could ever be useful, never mind on a daily basis.

No, I'm not talking about blood sugar levels, etc. I'm sure that will be useful to a lot of people (the roughly 12% of American with diabetes, for example). What I'm interested in is the 'nutrition', 'activity', and 'weight' tabs. If done right these could replace some others apps I currently use. See, I'm trying to avoid becoming part of that 12%. ;)

If only Apple brought a stylus to iPhone/iPad. Then Cook might be able to get that number up to 6%. :D

If the watch or iPhone could detect some of those biometrics, the possibility of on-the-spot lie detection could be realized :D

I do hope this works for iPad... Even if it may not function fully.

Even though having PassBook on the iPad is pointless due to its size, I often wish it was so I could manage my cards from my iPad.

I will buy this rumored iWatch immediately if it can non-invasively monitor my blood sugar. A simple app that can help me log it -- I use MyNetDiary now -- will be welcomed as well, but automated monitoring would be great.

I currently use a fingerstick monitor (which will always be the most accurate method) and at times use a continuous monitor as well, which is nice but the sensors can fall off and are costly. Raman spectroscopy has been studied as a way to noninvasively measure glucose levels in interstitial fluid, so I am hopeful that the watch will be able to do it.

The screenshot showing the glucose tab gives me hope.

This is starting to look way more compelling. If you need an iPhone and iWatch to use this HealthBook to the full then ...

I'm In.

These big blocks of color stacked up together look really ugly, and the UI of the individual cards look bad. I can't see Apple doing this. I think having plain colored cards with just different 'tint' color text fits more with iOS 7.

WOW! If all of these data points can be accurately calculated, this will be a game changer!

You know it's good when the only thing the trolls can find to complain about are the colors.

Such colors. Much Unicorn.

Aside that functionality wise this looks hot! And someone should slap Jony Ive and try put some sense to him. This design trend is getting to a ridiculous proportion.

This is NOT easy on the eye. Nor is it good design.

why u mad, bro? youre responding to recreations of rumored screenshots. they arent real.

I've just gone from totally uninterested in the iwatch concept to WOW give me an iWatch now!!!

If the iwatch really is the key to collecting all of this info then it's a must buy for health concious people like myself.

It would be cool if they somehow integrated this with "MyChart" which many hospitals and doctors use to track medical test results. Then your history of tests at the Dr could populate automatically and you could get graphs of different tests, etc.

I do think the Emergency Card would be great to have accessible from the lock screen. Similar to a medic-alert bracelet in purpose (list conditions like diabetic, epileptic, allergic to medicines) with the added ability to add Emergency Contact info, etc.

Only if it's accurate, which is apparently a problem with such tech right now. FDA shockingly allows 20% error in regular glucose meters.

The savings from not having to buy strips would more than pay for the watch.

The app itself would be useless if in fact you only enter "daily or weekly glucose levels". An insulin-taking diabetic is checking glucose levels 5-7x a day. I don't see a tab for medications either. If you're taking insulin you need to track that.

Doing an estimated HbA1c and graphs would be important too.
