Apple's Icon Garden gone?

So I finally made time to drive up to Cupertino and see the famous Icon Garden with a friend, but I just read that it was taken down and never put back up? Is it even worth the drive to visit the campus without it?

I thought that I read that there was a store up there with cool merchandise.

i was just hoping there'd be more things i can take pictures of. plus i have always been amazed by the icon garden, so it really bums me out! i just need to know all the cool things to do and see over there before i plan my trip.
