I was using a second hand iPhone 7, the last new Iphone I bought was a 6+ 64 gig at the start of 2015 for £699, kept it for over 3 years before going to the standard 7, but battery life was bad on the 7 so this year I got a red iPhone 11 128gb for £706 on special (£779 standard price) and plan on keeping it for at least 3 years again.

Price and battery life were the major driving factors for me, camera in third. I think Apple successfully combined enough factors to incentivise me to buy a new iPhone instead of second hand one again. And I think a lot of other people were obviously motivated by similar factors this year too, and the sales figures show it.

Same here! Went from a Xs Max to 11 to get a bit smaller phone at a great price. I really don't miss the Max at all.

Biggest secret of the 11 was it really had all the same internals as the 11 pro, swap the 2x lens out and the OLED screen and save hundreds of dollars. I really thought I'd miss the OLED screen but really hasn't been an issue for me. I also enjoyed being able to get a colored phone (red) instead of silver, black or green this year.
Night mode and the wide angle are amazing. All i needed. Also the stabilized video is so much better then the Xs.

Very true, I work in IT support and I have to be very patient with some people.
That’s a lot of what tech support is... patience lol I used to work for an authorized service provider, and I can’t tell you how many times people would come in for the simplest of issues. If they had just sat there and thought about it for a second or even done a quick Google search, they would have fixed their problem and saved themselves a trip.

At the same time it does give me a job so I can’t complain too much.

If it came in 512gb I wouldn't have purchased the Pro this year. The phones are almost identical under the hood. Screen and Cameras don't really justify the markup for the pro.

Didn’t think I was going to upgrade (from my 8) this year. In the end I was swayed by the great camera and fantastic battery life. The 11 really is a great phone and I have no regrets. I’m actually seeing the 11 and 11 Pro everywhere lately so it seems those things sold other people too!

The real question is – if the iPhone 11 Pro had also been available in red… which one would you have gotten?

Our family picked up four iPhone 11s due to getting them free with trade of old
Phones (a bunch of 6s and an 8).

The camera is legitimately impressive even over my X, which was flagship just a few years ago. And the screen size is nice;
I do notice the blacks aren't as good and I only noticed this Watching "See" on Apple TV+ just a few days ago. But it's not notable in almost any other circumstance.

The battery is also legitimately impressive. My son, who would often burn through a full battery and then some on his 6s still has battery left at the end of the day. I've gone days with 80%.

we are pretty happy with the devices and feel Apple has finally brought back affordability with features. $1000 versus $700 is a massive difference. Also of note, jumping to the 128gb would've been $50 more rather than the typical $100. I miss nothing coming from an X other then maybe that the 11 is physically a little bigger.

not that it was a massive game changer but it was cool for all of us to get different colors that we all also truly loved. Red, green, purple, and black.

I'd be down for a Mac mini that can do 4K (Just for video) but my price point of $500 is Probably too wishful for Apple.
I need a new media center but don't really want to build anything before I hear more about Xbox series x, resulted to dual boot windows.
