This is a sign that you shouldn't be buying a new iPhone right now :D

I 'm sensing some satisfaction points being shaved off temporarily

The above comments, together with the whole 'gerbil' saga, have made my day! Thanks to all. :)

Apple is subject to considerable DoS attacks because a successful Apple is bad for controlling governments. Know any?
"Too big for their britches."

Not enough grease mon.....err....political donations, perhaps?

Do you even have a clue about what it takes on the backend infrastructure/data center side to keep the day to day operations running?

I paid:

$750 for my iPhone
$800 for my iPad
$2600 for my iMac
$1500 for my MacBook Air
$700 for my Mac Mini

So no. I don't have a clue at all about what it takes to run a data center. Why? Because I don't need to. Because I don't have to.

That's what Apple is about, right? It just works? Snap your finger and let your :apple: does the magic is the point of paying premium for Apple products.

If I have to know about everything and anything, I would turn my head to Microsoft. They make stuff for geeks, someone who knows better about his/her own computer and how to make things works.

They might not be the best looking computer but unlike Apple, they're decently priced. So it's reasonable to expect more glitches out of them.

Would be nice if Apple fixed the issue with iTunes Store where you click on see all album and nothing shows up just blank.

Why does Apple have to 'activate' my damn phone anyway!?!?!? My service is with AT&T.

Much of the architecture around "activating" an iPhone is based on the original procedure when AT&T was the only carrier in the world offering the iPhone.

It was designed to stop people using the phone in ways that had not been approved by the carrier (i.e. without a SIM).
