I would still rather have the text book. A book doesn't smash when you drop it. A book doesn't break if someone drops something on your bag by accident.
It seems an integral part of iOS on a iPad to me. My ipad only has applications and books on it now. I keep music on ipods and don't bother with the hassle of conversion, etc, of movies.
I put PDFs on the ipad and I'l be putting epub documents on a Kobo touch ereader when I manage to find one to buy. I only use iTunes to transfer books to the ipad and use another to manage files. This program;
It seems to be fairly good software, especially for editing metadata and conversion, but it's browser is way too CPU/memory intensive and easily crashed and the interface is also way too PC orientated in its over the top feature set and style. There doesn't seem to be any alternative to it ATM.
Hopefully Apple will introduce an OS X Ibook program with the same and more functionality.
Since Apple stopped focusing exclusively on the Mac and OSX. the Mac and OSX are better, less expensive and are selling in higher volumes than ever before.
How can that be?
Hint: $80 B in cash generated primarily from mobile products.
A meaningless statement not backed up by facts. In fact, Mac sales are skyrocketing as we speak. You can't be in an Apple Store these days and not see an absolute mob at the Mac counter.

You want facts? Look at all the issues and complaints people have in the OS X forum on macrumors. RAM hog, botched mission control lacking expose, heat and battery issues, etc. Snow Leopard doesn't have these problems.
Again, just because OS X is selling, doesnt make it 'great' (although it is by relative means). Why are you guys so hung up on popularity contests?

I guess the assumption is, if it sucks people wouldn't buy it. If the masses were constantly complaining about problems, you wouldn't see packed out Apple Stores everyday of the week worldwide.
