Only thing dense here is your response to *my* post about what *i* think and what *i* want. I dont see anywhere where i called in question anything to do with apples choices or other peoples requirements?? Try reading next time.Yeah how could Apple be so dense? it's all about what you Apple's #1 customer wants, and not about what everyone else wants.
Makes sense, it's both an iphone and an iPad mini. It's probably cheaper than buying both separately.
And the half who don’t want one at all.Judging from this thread, no matter what Apple does they'll disappoint half the people interested in a foldable iPhone
I imagine the inner display will use iPadOS apps.Would be interesting if the software would support it. Don’t see Apple coming up with an iOS or iPadOS that fully supports it.
Even Microsoft is making bigger and faster changes in their hardware than Apple these days.
Yeah, there's really no question that foldables are ALL expensive garbage.I really don’t wanna believe a word of this, there is no way that Apple has invented some new form of plastic that is flexible and doesn't feel like sh*t, yet here we are
I was expecting a lot larger. 5.5 inch seems like a sweet spot to me, considering that if you need more real estate, you just open it up. But I agree with other comments: the price might be too high for most people.A 5.5-inch outer display? That's too small and disappointing.
5.5" is comparable to an iphone mini.I really don't do anything on the go that needs a larger screen; no video, rarely use the web, no social media or games. I would like it to be smaller in the pocket, though.
The what?!the existing 16:9 aspect ratio of the iPhone
5.5" is comparable to an iphone mini.
I'm more curious if Apple Intelligence will be ready by then.Curious if it will launch with Apple Intelligence.
Bezels. Edge to edge screens make no sense in tablets, you need somewhere to hold them.
I was referring to the outer screen. The current iPhone doesn’t have bezels that big.Bezels. Edge to edge screens make no sense in tablets, you need somewhere to hold them.
An iPhone and iPad mini in one. Could be interesting.
Would be interesting if the software would support it. Don’t see Apple coming up with an iOS or iPadOS that fully supports it.
It looks more like a mini ipad that folds out into a book than it does a phone. I just thought of something, if it opens up like a book then its gonna be weird when theyre on the phone with someone because its gonna look like everyone has this big book theyre holding to their ear when theyre on the phone with someone. But I know these days most ppl dont call ppl and if they do they put them on speaker. I would never buy a phone that cost in the $1-2,000 range
Open like a book? It should be the best foldable because it won’t have the crease.
It’s not for most people whatsoever which is more than fine: Apple has several prosumer-exclusive/oriented productsI don’t care if it [indescribable acts] you’ll never talk me into a $2300 phone.
This ain’t it, Tim.
You cannot please everyone: This rumored phone option enables a phone to be far more useful, versatile, and more useful on-the-go for power users that overlaps with iPad Mini / iPad use cases to omit such devices. So no flip option and we continue on with absolutely nothing on offer for those who don’t want a ginormous phablet thing.
