Today we're tracking a collection of discounts on Apple's M3 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro, all of which can be found on Amazon.

14-inch MacBook Pro

Amazon has the 8-Core, 512GB M3 14-inch MacBook Pro for $1,399.00 in Space Gray, down from $1,599.00. This is a match of the all-time low price on this notebook, and right now it's the only 14-inch model that is at a record low price on Amazon.

If you're looking for more storage, Amazon has the 8-Core, 1TB M3 14-inch MacBook Pro for $1,649.00, down from $1,799.00. This is a second-best price on the notebook, and Amazon has it available in Silver and Space Gray.

16-inch MacBook Pro

For the larger display, Amazon is discounting a few of the higher-end models to all-time low prices. You can get the 14-Core, 36GB RAM, 1TB M3 Max 16-inch MacBook Pro for $3,249.99 with an on-page coupon, down from $3,499.00. Thanks to the on-page coupon, this is a new record low price for this model, and it's only available in Space Black.

Note: You won't see the deal price until checkout.

Lastly, the 16-Core, 48GB RAM, 1TB M3 Max 16-inch MacBook Pro has hit $3,799.00 in Silver, down from $3,999.00. This is another best-ever price on the 16-inch MacBook Pro, but stock has been dwindling on the notebook, so if you're interested be sure to place your order soon.

Keep up with all of this week's best discounts on Apple products and related accessories in our dedicated Apple Deals roundup.

Base M3 in Space Grey would be the pick of the litter for me if it didn't need upgrading to 16GB. I don't want Space Black but the cost of upgrading a custom M3 build puts it perilously close to a discounted M3 Pro.

As someone who bought into the whole "Apples 8gb is the same as PC 16gb" and now regrets it, Apple cheaping out like this really makes them look bad in this consumers mind. I will think twice about another Apple laptop next time I'm sure for an upgrade. Come on Apple, public perception is as important as profit margins.

I'd hardly say it is the best ever price for the higher spec M3 Max version considering Best Buy has it for $3749 right now and I bought it for that price a couple of months ago from Best Buy. Maybe the article is saying it's the best ever price at Amazon?

I got the base 16" M3 Pro and it's the best laptop I've ever used. Not enough people are talking about the battery life on this particular model. It's astoundingly good and incredibly liberating.

Don't buy 8GB, friends. Force Apple to stop this penny-pinching madness.

If you're buying a MacBook Pro with 8GB of RAM, be ready for a painful experience. If you think you don't need more than 8GB, buy a MacBook Air and save a lot of money.
I don’t completely hate the lower tier MBP. A lot of folks like me can get away with a MBA but I really wanted the better screen and ProMotion so I had to pay extra for ram and hard drive space I simply don’t use. If this was an option when I bought my M1 I would have gone for this tier albeit waited for a sale.

It’s a Pro for marketing but in all practicality it’s an Air with a superior screen displays. I can see demand for this product at this price.
I think you're giving up a major aspect of an "Air", in that this MBP 14 M3 is almost 50% thicker than a 15" Air. So it's not really Air-like. And it's an inch smaller in the screen.

But being $1399, it really makes one think if they want a $1299 M2 Air or a $1399 M3 Pro (not as in the chip, but the model).

I have been meaning to get a new laptop from Amazon since my 2014 MacBook Pro isn't getting OS updates anymore.

For $1399, should I get this 512 GB storage / 8 GB of RAM MacBook Pro in the article, or should I spring for this laptop with 2TB of storage and 32 GB of RAM? 🤔

Wouldn't it be nice if Apple just had appropriate MSRPs, so we could stop all the cat and mouse games of:

SALE!

ANOTHER BIG SALE!

LOWEST PRICE THIS WEEK - BUY BUY BUY

It's all exhausting and annoying.

Just stop trying to screw people at MSRP and with ridiculous component upgrade prices Apple.

For the same $1,399, I'd rather buy a 14 inch Macbook Pro M2 Pro 16/512 from Costco.

They're clearing out remaing inventory, so YMMV on your store having it in stock. Best to call your store and ask if they have item # 1601622 in stock.

A Pro machine with 8GB of RAM. 😂
In 2024. 😂😂
While I understand your frustration, Apple has been very consistent.

Base RAM for M-series Macs:
  • Standard processor = 8GB
  • Pro processor = 16/18GB
  • Max processor = 32/36GB
  • Ultra processor = 64GB (presumably 72GB with M3 Ultra)

I too can see the demand for it. And I just noticed that it actually starts with 512 GB storage, as opposed to 256, which is an improvement that helps to justify the price increase from the M2 MacBook Pro. It's not a machine I'll ever be in the market for, as I require more performance, ports, and external displays, but this would be the computer I steer my partner towards, whenever she is ready to replace her trusty 2012 13" MBP. At this sale price, it's a great value.

Add this to the things in life you can be sure of (including death and taxes).
