You'll find up to $150 off every model of the M5 MacBook Air on Amazon, with free delivery around May 2 for most models. In terms of other 13-inch models, Amazon also has the 24GB/1TB model for $1,349.00, down from $1,499.00. Both of these represent a match for the record low prices for each configuration.

Speaking as an owner of a 13" MBA M5 24/1TB from Amazon, these are incredible machines.

So much power for the price here.

Incredible value, especially in 2026 with all that's going on with component prices.

It's an interesting point. I suspect there are a LOT of base Air buyers that have been pulled over to the Neo.

My prediction is that Apple will lean in and make a 15" Neo at some point.

For a lot of laptop users, just having some more screen space is all they need.
The "iPhone chips" are going to serve their needs quite well.

The Air is the best laptop. Not just the best Apple laptop, but the best laptop. I know I sound like an Apple marketeer, but it is. Especially in this market.

With these discounts, it is an absolute no-brainer to get the 13 M5 Air (512gb) vs the 512gb Neo. It is a $250 difference for way more computer. Yes, it is $250 but anyone can save $250 from unnecessary purchases in a year to make that up.

FWIW, I don't have a current 15" MacBook Air, but I do have an M2 Air, which I think is almost exactly the same size-wise as the current M5 version.

I also happen to have a 14" Amazon Basics computer bag, and the Air will fit in there, but it is very tight.
