Finally!

Ordered the following config on Dec 19, 2013 and just got email informing me shipment has been made UPS on Jan. 18, 2014….

Configuration
3.5GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon E5
16GB 1866MHz DDR3 ECC - 4X4GB
512GB PCIe-based Flash Storage
Dual AMD FirePro D700-6GB VRAM
USER GUIDE
COUNTRY KIT

Can hardly wait!

On another note… Funny thing is when I went to the Apple store to discuss external storage and Thunderbolt cables, none of the sales associate was able to inform me, direct me or provide any advice or information of value… They have no expertise on the new Mac Pro 2013 in the stores whatsoever… Unbelievable!

Yes, because there are always enough iPhones at launch....

trust me the mac pro isn't selling the quantity the iPhone is. They are likely going to sell tens of thousands of mac pros (simply because of pent up demand) this year whereas they will sell tens of millions of iPhones

I see you missed his joke there ... Sure you're not Irish? ;)

I feel very lucky as my 6 Core nMP arrived in December! Boy is this thing fun!

Since I got mine I have forgotten what rendering time is! FCPX is like lightning! An amazing and awesomely impressive product.

With a Pegasus Thunderbolt 2 RAID it sets a new standard for speed.

I don't think they underestimated demand; you can't build a church just for Easter, as they say. It will take a while for production to catch up. I waited three years for mine. After the initial backlog is worked through, normal delivery times will prevail.

I ordered mine the morning of December 20th with a February ship date. I've had my current MP 3,1 for nearly 6 years so a few weeks here or a few weeks there makes little difference to me. I'm just happy to be getting a major upgrade that will dramatically improve my workflow.

Glad I'm not buying one, even if i could afford it.....

would this mean they these countries may not see their new Mac Pro till the end of 2014 ??

Seems Apple has lost control over this.... How can you ship early to some countries, and delayed to others ? All of this *and Apple doesn't know why* its delayed till March

The question is, when in March? Early or late… Sorry, just getting impatient! :)

I can see March slipping to April especially for the custom configured models?

I probably wont be ready to pull the Mac Pro purchase trigger until Mid February since I am working on getting a Retina 15 Macbook Pro with the NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M first.

Maybe all of those guys who said they were going to get a Hackintosh instead are actually secretly getting the new Mac Pro which is increasing demand? :apple:

ridiculous

I was about to order 8-core nMP.....but now i'm hesitating to order this since the supply line doesn't seem like catching up high demand.
let's see how it goes.. if this silly supply line cannot catch up and the estimate is pushed back to april... I ain't gonna purchase it.... :(

There seems to be some confusion about what's "slipping". AFAIK, previous orders have not been delayed. (My own still says it's shipping in February.) It's just that lead times for shipping remains around six weeks, so ordering now won't get you a MP before March…

Ordered my custom configuration on December 19. I got delivery date of "January" for Denmark. Today I got the displaced notice, so no slippage, but cutting it close...
