For example, I just got a nice Ravpower battery (that was on sale for $20 before Amazon kicked Ravpower off of its store) (see here: https://www.ravpower.com/products/rp-pb172-portable-charger-20000mah) that extends my iPad Pro's battery life for at least an additional 6 hours (I haven't tested beyond 6 hours). No way I'm giving Apple $99 for this. $49 would be the highest price I'd say is a fair price; $99 is robbery.

Very different product. This product doesn't attach to the phone and stay there, and isn't very mobile.

Apple's product is a mobile, light-weight, cable free battery extender when you move around with your iPhone, e.g. being tourist in a big city, going on a long hiking trip etc.

They’re both batteries with the ability to charge your device away from an outlet. The Apple battery costs $99 and has far less capacity than the Ravpower, which is literally 1/3 the price. It’s your money so make up your own mind.

I just spent some time in Manhattan and used the ravpower to power up several of my devices for several hours on the go, something the more expensive Apple battery wouldn’t be able to do. But again it’s your money lol. Do as you wish.

Can’t wait to see 3rd party battery packs where they have MagSafe on one side and Qi charging on the other, so you can plug your iPhone into a separate wired charger, lay it face down, stack the MagSafe battery pack on the back, then add your AirPod Pro case and maybe even Apple Watch on top of the battery pack and have everything get charged through one plug.

Ok, so I actually think it’s a dumb idea. I do like the MagSafe battery pack idea, since you can continue using the iPhone while getting extra charging in.

NOT dumb at all in fact it’s increíble!
Sateshi has:
A USB-C adapter to charge Watch, another for AirPods case,
And one - exclusively sold by Apple in Canada that’s a combo of each.
