Apple's Mini-LED Suppliers to Ramp up Shipments for Redesigned MacBook Pro Models in Third Quarter

16:10 or even 3:2 are indeed better. I don't really need insane resolution and framerate, that would just slow everything down und use more battery.
I would not be concerned about battery; it'd be configurable anyway if you want to keep things "as is" to maximize battery life.

I would choose HDMI over a third USB-C thunderbolt 4 any day. 2 USB-C is more than enough for me, but working in an office with a computer that doesn't do HDMI without bringing a dongle all over is still a big hassle. It's slowly going over to USB-C for screens/projectors, but HDMI is still essential to me.
HDMI port only makes sense if it's HDMI 2.1.

Probably everyone has their personalized spec sheet of wish-list items
While I have a few, I think my main one is the hope that the mini-LED is the fix for
MBPro tendency for backlight leakage.
I've recently looked at the wide range of MBPros around me , mine, and others at work ... they all display (no pun intended)
a degree of an in-need-of-correction level of annoying backlight bleeding. None that probably reach the level of
an official Service but still ...

other general items on my list for confidence/hope
Keyboard durability
Display durability
Continued audio hardware improvement
Minor tweaks to keyboard function ... it always seemed odd that an eject button does not appear on the Touch Bar
when a DVD drive is attached.
I suppose I like MagSafe better than USB-C connector. It has always seemed to me that the design of Apple's USB-C connector had some conflicting engineering interests built in ... it's actually loose enough to function like MagSafe
AND it's loose enough to be problematic as a stable device connector

#2-cents worth
