Pretty sure of two things:

1) He said "hello" because almost all Apple products say that when you first set them up (in all lower case).
2) Not using proper capitalization also shows that the new CEO is more in touch with the younger crowd, who more dominantly use their products.

The CEO is in charge of the PR team, not the other way around.

It doesn’t matter who runs the account. He could have easily said no or picked a different social network. So, yes, he joined X.
