They look good but I’m not in market for a new on yet. I’m still rocking a Air 2. I don’t need a Pro.

The Mac mini seems like it will be a little beast.

This is the first REAL time I have actually been shocked at the pricing of an Apple product. I mean £1800 for an iPad? It’s INSANE. I could just about accept the £1000 iPhone but damn.
It seems Apple is pushing the iPad into the pro computer space. A device that's more powerful than 92% of laptops sold in the last year and has as much graphics capability as an Xbox One S and 1TB of flash storage is no 'consumer product'. The disappointing thing now is the software, which is long overdue for a major upgrade to truly do everything a laptop does.

…and the current “regular” iPad is $350.
You’re right, the cheap iPad actually slipped my mind. When my Air 2 finally croaks I’ll probably be getting one from that line, which will hopefully by then have laminated screens again.

Still, I long for the days when Apple upgraded their products and kept them at the same price. Apple raised the price $100 with the iPad Pro, then another $50 for the 10.5”, and then another $150 today. These were all upgrades they used to give us for “free.” It’s a similar story across their entire lineup these past few years, and incredibly disappointing (to me, at least).

That Mini looks so old and outdated lol
Well it is old and outdated, but it still runs iOS 12 and I guess that makes us forget it's over 3 years old at this point (you know, because those 128 GB of storage most people wouldn't know what to do with, add value to it somehow).

Yeah.

Apple should have started with ... This way the mini will STILL sell like hotcakes for children, kindle eBook readers that want to do more, as well as for business that use the ipads as webportal terminals connected to larger screens or board rooms using Crestron software.

Me: I'll still buy a used ipad mini 4 and maybe by XMas an iPad Pro 11" + Mac Mini 2018 Core i5/i7, 512GB/1TB storage!

But I miss my 13" MBP 2018 model.

This idea to connect a laptop to larger screen and get more computing power - specifically graphics I saw in a 1991 PC Mag advertisement by a private company many Desktops (as the eGPU) and laptops all in shiny black finish. Wish I can recall the PC company but they didn't last long ...most likely the HUGE cost of purchasing and implementation.

now with 2018 iPad Pro 11" & 12.5" with MacMini 2018 ... we maybe unto something that CUTS the cord!

Rumor is that it is due to tariff concerns.

Possibly due to using the eSim? Only the new Pros are using it.

lol ... the iPad Air 2 had an eSIM ... this isn't new to iPad's especially those sold by carriers in USA/Canada just never implemented heavily.
