Apple probably think she's great because people keep giving her poor feedbacks but she doesn't undertand a word.Apple Intelligence is kind of lame on my MacBook Pro TBH. I don't see the use for it yet. And siri seems to still be just as bad as she's ever been.
I think there will be a huge number of people disabling the AI features of future phones and laptops. So many companies have rushed this because they didn’t want to miss out on the money making opportunity. And unusually Apple seems to be scrambling with regards to AI. On both a hardware and software angle. They have been making SoCs with advanced neural processing capabilities for years now, but they were not backed by sufficient RAM for what was inevitably coming. Surely they had at least one person look at their recent devices and twig that the RAM was the weakest aspect. Their software offering is a patchwork of internal and external services and technologies, that looks like it’s been put together in a rush.I haven’t seen an AI that I’m impressed with, I’m trying Apples out on my iPhone but so far the summary feature has routinely claimed the exact opposite of what the person I was speaking to had written. It was a feature that had me mildly excited but I just don’t trust it any more.
I hate how every tech company out there is just shouting “AI everything!” From the rooftops, I hoped given how unreliable it’s been, that Apple wouldn't bother or would wait until it matured, doesn’t seem up to Apple quality to me. I suppose as a plus side it resulted in more RAM for devices and it can easily be switched off 🤷♂️
New Siri doesn't come until early next year.Apple Intelligence is kind of lame on my MacBook Pro TBH. I don't see the use for it yet. And siri seems to still be just as bad as she's ever been.
Get a life!! this happens all the time on all brands and all devices. You can't build and ship a new product with the very latest OS when the latest update is released after the machines have been made. It's pretty lame of them to ship broken devices and make people update on day one!
I think that is more to do with the Apple Silicon than then wanting to give 16GB. It is built into the system, so the only way to give people 8GB as standard would be to disable 8.Tim knocked it out Apple Park with these new Macs and 16 GB RAM standard! Best era of Mac EVER.
Wow, calm down.Get a life!! this happens all the time on all brands and all devices. You can't build and ship a new product with the very latest OS when the latest update is released after the machines have been made.
Still not updated to it, i will wait for a few more versions just to make sure it is stable.Sequoia has been a dull upgrade to me, no drama and just a few new things I really appreciate. 15.1 has been the same.
That's just like I like my macOS updates.
I haven't seen any problems yet, but I encourage you to wait as long as you want. Until apps you need start requiring it there's no need to upgrade.I never used to be like, alsoways used to have the latest OS, that was when I was using Windows, but I think I prefer a stable OS these days.
They do, but they won't talk about it!I thought I once read that Apple has a way of remotely updating software on devices...? 🤔
It would be the best if we had an iMac with black bezelsTim knocked it out Apple Park with these new Macs and 16 GB RAM standard! Best era of Mac EVER.
I should’ve replied to this, too: so far, it’s all turned off by default. I expect that to continue, unless it’s something minor that will still require an explicit click to trigger. Also, I need to make sure I can disable any AI stuff that Apple try to throw at us.
