15 Pro here will go to amazon and get a $30 battery and be happy. I never understood why thinner is considered better. I don't want a huge thick phone but going ultra thin as a goal in and of itself seems weird to me.
Probably why they didn't have virtue signalling mother nature in the presentation this year.....That's a great design for the environment ... limited to one model of phone.![]()
The AirPods got a nice upgrade. The iPhone Air was exactly as predicted. Next year is the big year with the foldable iPhone.Their whole entire presentation made me angry and opt to not buy anything from them this year. Zero innovation and practicality. iPhone pro is ugly as sin and no black color to hide the uglyness. The air is so thin you can't go a whole day without a battery which begs the question, why buy it then. And the watches just get 5g and a little more battery. Also not worth it.
Did anyone even really try to innovate this year Apple? Time to can Tim.
It will not work.Ok - but to be clear, will the new MagSafe battery also not work on prior iPhone magsafe models (12-16)?
Okay... while I did indeed find your comment amusing, I'd have to point out that there is almost certainly a target audience for exactly that use case. It means you can have (close to) the same battery life as the thicker models, but you don't have to always carry around that added battery weight... you can toss your MagSafe battery in the glove compartment or on the nightstand whenever you wish, and "travel light." I mean, I'm not in that demographic... but I can easily see why some people might like that option.Step one. Buy Apple's thinnest iPhone. Step two. Buy a battery accessory that adds thickness. 🤦
I'm somewhat skeptical of this. I think that -- as questioned by Parowdy -- there's a halfway decent chance that it'll technically work just fine with almost any MagSafe compatible phone... if you turn the battery sideways relative to the phone. I realize I'm probably being a bit pedantic, but I think it's important to recognize that "not designed for" is different from "does not work with."It will not work.
Can you report back and let me know if it works with the Pro / Pro Max too please?Good thing my OG MagSafe battery pack should still work. I'll probably bring it to an Apple Store next to see how silly it looks with the Air. As long as it allows me to top the Air's battery by 20% it'll be just fine. The new $99 pack might be worth it to some.
