I had a quick look at the manufacturer's site and it's pretty funny - under the firmware upgrade section (which they charge for BTW!), is this little gem:

Some customers have fake Sciphones it seems. The developer has
confirmed that this should not be an issue either. Even though you may
have a version with poor features Javquisoft wants to give you the option to
upgrade also.


So it seems even the rip-off merchants are being ripped off 😀

I think it's funny that a lot of programs use a floppy disk icon as the save icon when a lot of younger people never used a floppy to save to. It has no real meaning for them. I wonder when that icon will go.


I also wonder if Apple goes ever goes after these manufactures? It looks like an iPhone but I wonder how the user experience is.

Geez that's a good copy, if it wasn't for the terrible screen and the sim card slot on the side I doubt you'd be able to tell without looking closely.
