Chasing silly numbers (such a number of cores or clock GHz) can be counter-productive. Might be better to say "No" to such. Instead spend the engineering time on hidden innovations, such as decreasing a processors branch prediction miss penalty, etc., which might actually benefit the user more (in terms of battery life).

They have such low prices just because their main focus is Chinese market, where people couldnt afford paying much
In short: 1) it isn't a no-name crap 2) it is quite a good bang for the buck
