Morning all,

Am I right in assuming there will be another during October?

Been looking online and seen some conflicting reports that suggest otherwise.

I'll say you're wrong? What do they have to promote in October that they didn't do in September?

They announced new iPhones, iPads, and Apple TV. The Apple watch is only 5 months into its product cycle, the laptops/iMacs are waiting for Skylake though its possible to see a silent update if some skylake chips become available next month.

That's what I thought I was under the impression they wouldn't as there isn't anything to show (so to speak)

Don't they normally have one though?

They had one in 2014 to show off THE iPad Air 2, iPad Mini 3 and the 5k iMac

in 2013 it was for the iPads.

I don't believe they had one in 2012.

Since they used September to show off the iPad pro and the new iPad mini, I don't think they'll have a specific event for the iPads.

Ah that's a shame.

Thanks for the information

I was wondering about this, too.
iPod Touch/iPhone/iPad Mini/iPad/iPad Pro/AppleWatch/AppleTV
were all taken care of at the September event.
And they don't have events only for desktop/laptop Macs anymore.

So is that it for Apple Events for 2015?
Or, as I hope & pray, will they have an event later this year for a new thing ...?

Unless they have some big surprises for the Mac I wouldn't expect anything out of apple in October.

Mmm, what about iOS 2 for Apple Watch? When it I'll come out ? :)
They won't hold a special event for watch OS2, they already showed off some of the features in WWDC. They were going to release it w/o any further fanfare the other day but then pulled it for a bug. I think having any further special attention to it will only highlight that it was pulled.

Unless they have some big surprises for the Mac I wouldn't expect anything out of apple in October.
Unless more Skylake chipsets are released in the next week or so, then I don't think we'll see any apple event in October for Macs.

I'm saying what about events period?
As I've clearly said, I already know they don't do Mac-only events anymore.
So is that it for Events in 2015? Is the next Apple Event WWDC16?

There is no reason for an October event... What would Apple have to annouce ? They did this all in one September event..

I agree, if any updates, it will be silent updates...... I doubt there would be a small event just for skylake specially, u'd have to have few more things. maybe a few Mac's with skylake chips in at the very minimum.

Like the poster above, I wouldn't be surprised if there was an event Spring 2016 for new MacBooks, MBPs, maybe iMacs and Mac Pros too.

There might be a new Apple Watch, but I have a feeling it won't be upgraded every year. What I could see happening is new finishes (titanium, white gold Editions, etc.) being announced at the event.

If there are only silent upgrades for Macs, however, that could be it until WWDC 2016 for iOS 10, OS X 10.12, watchOS 3 and tvOS 2.

Any place but here or there....
Crossing my appendages, they'll have one in October for the Macs they can upgrade now and to show off El Capitan. It would sadden me just a little if they do not have a Mac-centric event. I know Intel is making us wait for most of the new Macs, but it would be a nice way to end the year.

What will apple show off on that media event? I mean Intel hasn't released the skylake processors that Apple could use (aside from the low power versions).

Earlier this year it was widely believed Apple would have an October Media event this year after it's September one, to announce new skylake Macs, iPads and go over El Capitan. Following the same pattern as last year.

but now seeing that, iPads were released at the September event, and El Capitan was silently released in September. and now Skylake computers have began shipping yet. Does this mean there will not be another Apple Event until next year?

What do you guys think?
Potential things that could be in October event: 4k 21.5" iMac, skylake retina Macbook? both of these would only be possible if skylake chips are ready to ship.

I think I've read news skylarks starts shipping oct.26

I still believe apple will have an event at least go over iPad pro, announce a proper release date, and maybe air 3.

There was no way for Apple to wait until October to release el captain. One key feature in iOS 9 is the notes. While as soon as you upgrade the notes you will no longer to access it on Yosemite... This is unacceptable... Especially for more than one month..

I expect some kind of update, but it may not rise to an event, it may just be a PR release, and it could range from minor to major. I think it really depends on what which Skylake parts they are getting in enough numbers, if any at all.
